forensicsourcegroup.com is a SCAM??
People can lose cryptocurrency online not only through fraudulent investment schemes, but also while trying to recover funds they have already lost. The FBI warns about fraudulent organizations that promise to recover cryptocurrency, charge upfront fees, and then either disappear or demand additional payments. As a result, victims lose even more money. (ic3.gov) Forensics Source Group raises concerns for me about its transparency and the evidence supporting its claims. The website presents itself as an advocate for victims: it offers investigations and claims to have successfully recovered funds and won court cases. However, the publications reviewed provide no case numbers or documents that would allow these claims to be verified. (forensicsourcegroup.com) The main question is: what specific mechanism enables them to recover cryptocurrency? Tracing transactions does not mean having control over the funds located. A confirmed Bitcoin transaction cannot simply be reversed. Recovery through asset seizure is possible, and the U.S. Department of Justice has documented such cases. However, these involve law enforcement action and legal proceedings—not a private company technically “rolling back” a transaction. (bitcoin.org, justice.gov) The repeated calls in their reviews to contact them urgently for their services raise further concerns. In my view, these publications are designed to attract clients and may appeal to the emotions of people who have already lost money and are desperate to recover it. Without verifiable results and a clear explanation of the conditions under which recovery is possible, I am not prepared to trust this organization.
