FollowmeterReviews of followmeter.com

Very disappointing experience with FollowMeter. I downloaded the app because I wanted to try its Instagram analytics features. During the subscription process, the app clearly presented the offer as “Free Trial” and “Try Free for 3 Days.” Based on that wording, I understood that I could use the service for three days before being charged. Instead, I was charged approximately USD 49 for an entire YEARLY subscription immediately after signing up. I did not intend to purchase a USD 49 annual subscription at that point. The way the offer was presented was misleading to me, and I have screenshots showing exactly how the “Free Trial” / “Try Free for 3 Days” offer was displayed. I immediately requested a refund through Apple. Apple reviewed my request but refused to issue a refund. I subsequently contacted the FollowMeter developer directly and explained the situation in detail. This is where my experience became even more frustrating. The developer’s response was essentially to shift responsibility to Apple because the payment was processed through the App Store. I explained repeatedly that I was not simply asking to cancel a subscription. I was disputing the charge because of the way the subscription was presented to me and because I believed I had signed up for a three-day free trial. I asked the developer to take responsibility for the way its own app presented the subscription and to provide a direct refund as an alternative after Apple had refused my refund request. I was prepared to provide the information necessary for a direct refund. Instead, the developer continued to point me back to Apple. I gave the developer multiple opportunities to resolve the matter. I provided evidence, explained the circumstances, and clearly requested a refund. Eventually, my messages were simply ignored. Instead of taking responsibility for how their own app presented the offer, the developer repeatedly shifted the responsibility to Apple and refused to provide a direct refund. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue, they eventually stopped responding. Final result: USD 49 charged, NO REFUND, and no meaningful resolution. I have also seen numerous public reviews from users reporting Instagram security warnings, account restrictions, login problems, suspensions, and even loss of access to their Instagram accounts after using FollowMeter. These are individual user reports, but there are enough of them to be concerning. I would strongly NOT recommend this app. If you don’t want to risk being unexpectedly charged for a yearly subscription or potentially having problems with your Instagram account, stay away from FollowMeter.
