Over the years I have bought a Fishman SA220 and SA 330. I also have a Fishman pre amp pedal for my acoustic guitar. The amps keep going wrong, the input on 330 only works on jack not XLR. The preamp has stopped working completely. My experience is great disappointment, Fishman do not seem to give any support to the UK, I have had professionals look at my equipment and there is no backup or interest. I have turned up at gigs and amp does not work! This costs me the fee and cancelled the gig. I bought what I thought was quality, I was very pleased with the sound. Now I will find another make and not deal with Fishman again.

Not surprised to see another bad review here regarding Fishman and their Rare Earth Blend pickup. On mine the blend knob thumb wheel just broke off with just normal use. I contacted support asking for guidance on how to fix and their support was not at all good. All I asked for was what trim pot should I get to fix it MYSELF, I didn't even want to send it to them, I just needed their expertise. If Fishman are willing to send me the value of the trim pot in question AND clear instructions on how to open up the pickup I might change my review. Yes the Rare Earth blend sounds good, but unusable if the trim pot just breaks after just a few weeks.

Wanted to buy a Rare Blend off a friend which was broken with an electrical fault. It is meant to have lifetime warranty, but because I enquired about having it fixed rather than my friend who was the original owner, they wouldn't honour the warranty. Even worse, when he then enquired after getting the pickup back saying he wants to get it fixed under his warranty. They refused. Good sounding pickup for all of 10 mins. But not trustworthy. I ended up having to purchase another pickup (another brand) for my theatre shows and will never buy a fishman product again. Way to loose a professional client.
