Insane forced insurance policy rates
Right off the bat, I have to admit I was not a good borrower due to my personal financial circumstances. However, after working towards being current on my auto loan payments and attempting to get myself in good standing they hit me with an outrageous and completely unreasonable charge for an insurance policy I thought I had already had. My monthly car payment skyrocketed from $750 to nearly $2000 and I was told there was nothing they could do even with my insurance company back dating the policy. I genuinely felt like they just wanted me to let them take the car, so that’s what I did. I poured money into this loan to get into good standing only for them to rail me and force me to accept it. My credit absolutely tanked and made it miserable to find a place to rent let alone a car to drive. I cannot even fathom the idea of presenting someone with doubling a monthly amount due and just having an “it is what it is” attitude towards the situation. The amount due plus every other normal living expense far exceeds average income for many. I was completely cornered and I genuinely hope they lost money on my loan after doing what they did.
