About Firefly Bookstore

Located in downtown Kutztown since 2012, Firefly Bookstore is an independently-owned and operated new and used bookstore. Re-located in a bigger store in 2017, we now have almost 3000 square feet of space for over 50,000 items. We carry a great selection of titles including large sections of children's books, general fiction, sci-fi, mystery and thrillers, religion & metaphysics, cooking, history and biography. We have a selection of antiquarian titles and fine bindings. We also carry board games and puzzles (both new and used), toys, buttons, magnets, small gifts, note cards and each year, a large selection of calendars. We offer free gift wrapping, customer requests and special orders. We buy and trade books whenever the store is open. We have regular events all year long, including author signings and book releases, events for younger children and family game nights.

I had a very easy time ordering my book. I got it for a reasonable price and received it in a timely manner. The best part for me was not having to use Amazon!!!

I ordered my item from them late at night and they had it shipped the very next morning. It arrived lightning fast! It was also a hard to find, out of print dice game, and they had it for sale at the msrp, and not price-gouged like sellers on Amazon. Overall, A+++++++! Highly recommend Firefly Bookstore for all your needs!

Firefly Bookstore has an amazing selection of books both new releases, popular series, and classics. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable every time I visit or call with a request. The store is fun to browse and set up in a way it's relatively easy to locate your next read. It is my favorite place for books.

Open, Safe, and Doing Great!
Firefly is doing a great job serving customers through the Covid-19 pandemic. I have patronized them twice since the shutdown started. Once when the business was not open inside to the public. They were able to get me gift cards and read several retirement card options to me over the phone so I could get what I needed. Items were placed in a bag on the back door, and I paid over the phone with a card for a completely contact-free shopping experience. I came back once the business was open inside again. I had placed my order in advance through the website but came inside to pick up. They had everything at the desk waiting for me and required masks and hand sanitizing to enter the business and look at the books. They are going above and beyond to stay open, stay safe, and keep us all reading!
