Kevin gave me a quote of $825 to ship my car. I explained I only had 2 days available for the pick up. I paid $150 deposit for and open truck. On the first day he messaged me they did not have a driver. On the second day he said they had a driver, in a closed truck, for $2500. I said no, I can not afford that. So if I did not take this driver they would charge me $200 cancellation fee. I asked for my deposit back and he refused and said I had to pay the cancellation fee. I spoke to the "manager" James Smith, with a heavy accent i could hardy understand. He just kept saying if I cancel I have to pay the fee. I told him I would not. I called my credit card and filed a dispute for the deposit. I did receive a credit of the deposited $150. BUT.. when I checked my credit card statement, I see they put through $200 charge, without my permission to use my card. I have filed another dispute with my credit card.

SCAM!
SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!!
IF I could give ZERO stars I would. This company is 100% a scam and they take your money and don't follow through!! "Mr. Daniel Hayes" hardly speaks English and would NOT answer my question when I asked where he was located. Not where his so called company was located. These people are out there preying on the vulnerable!!! We lost a close family member suddenly and was trying to get their vehicles back to where we live. ABSOLUTELY SICKENING!!!!

Fast Autoship of Austin Texas does not honor the price they quote nor will they refund your deposit
Fast Autoship of Austin Texas, Jack Albert baits you in with a low shipping price and then when it's near the time for pickup he contacts you with a new price, he says it's because the driver is requesting more for the delivery. Prior to paying the deposit I told Jack about my past experience with other shipping companies doing this very thing. I told him if he was going to call me later asking for more money that I would pass on doing business with him, He promised me that the price he quoted will be honored. I'll post a copy of the text message from him when he promised he would honor the quoted price in my next review. Needless to say he called back with a price increase that was doubled the amount what he quoted me. I refused to pay the increased price and now my pickup has been delayed for a second week. I'm not holding my breath waiting for him to honor the price nor the pickup. Be careful before paying a deposit to this company as they will not honor the price they quoted you nor will they refund your deposit.

Was given a price and date and both changed
I was given a price to pick up my car and a date for the pickup. By the time everything was said and done, the price had almost doubled. They try to lock you in by offering a low initial quote, even though they haven’t secured a driver. Once they finally find one, the driver gives a higher price. They’ve clearly been doing this for a long time and know they can’t honor the original quote. It’s not realistic — it’s a scam to lock you in.
I also told them I needed the car picked up on Monday and delivered by Friday. They assured me it would be picked up Monday and arrive Wednesday or Thursday. The driver they selected then had car issues. After that, they claimed they found another driver, but he wouldn’t be available until Thursday or Saturday. I told them neither option worked. I asked for my money back, and they refused and continued to harass me.
Definitely do not use them — you will be very disappointed.

No Matter What- DO NOT USE! Scam
I was specifically worried they were going to do a bait & switch price scam as soon as many warnings regarding this. So they assured me that would not happen and guaranteed price of $665 and specifically wrote in special conditions of the conditions if unable to provide services my deposit would be refunded. They stated it would be picked up on 3 separate occasions and it wasn’t. They didn’t even contact me to state it wouldn’t or they weren’t able. Nothing. Leaving pick up person waiting all day on 3 occasions . Paid deposit 12/19/25. It’s now 1/15/26 & no pick up. Then they call and say they have someone and ask if it’s ok to pick car up now and then try and slide in real fast at the end of the conversation that I will have to pay the driver $2,100 cash now! 😳More than triple their promised/guaranteed price of $665. Then trying to not refund my deposit saying I canceled. Stay FAR away from this company!
Mike Hunt/ James Smith doubt their real names either with the thick accent they have.

Beware
Beware! DO NOT SIGN anything it’s bait and switch! They say they have a driver then you agree on a price, sign the contract, make an $100 deposits then it is complete run around after that! They all of a sudden they don’t have a driver and price they quoted you no driver will take unless you “raise” your budget?! My budget? I’m sorry I signed a contract with agreed price?! All of a sudden it’s not a contract it’s an agreed estimate but you can’t back out without a $200 cancelation charge! Complete headache, complete bad business. All these good reviews have to be fake this is a joke and I do not know how they stay in business and get away with this. All I can say is pick someone else!
EDIT: I learned a lot from shipping my car, and unfortunately FastAuto Ship LLC was the worst part of the experience.
First thing to know: most of these “shipping companies” are really just dispatchers/brokers. They are not the actual car haulers or truck drivers. The price you’re quoted is often an estimate, but the way they word it is extremely vague and buried in fine print. They do not clearly explain that your “agreed price” can change after you sign.
Here’s how it went for me: I called and was told they had a driver and the price would be $475, and that my car could be delivered in about three days. They sent a contract stating the agreed amount, a $100 deposit, and the remaining balance due in cash to the driver upon delivery. The estimated delivery date made sense because delays happen, but nowhere was it clearly stated that the PRICE was also only an estimate.
The second I signed and paid the deposit, everything changed. Suddenly they “didn’t have a driver” and said they were having trouble finding one because my quote was “too low.” I was literally told it would be the “humble thing to do” to raise my budget to meet what drivers wanted. When I questioned why the price changed after I signed, they said it was always an estimate and that driver availability and pricing change constantly. Basically, the exact opposite of what I was told on the phone.
You also can’t easily walk away once you realize what’s happening. Hidden in the contract is a $200 cancellation fee, and they are very quick to remind you of that as soon as you start pushing back. It really feels like you’re stuck and they know it.
I tried waiting a couple days to see if a driver would accept something close to the signed amount, but I had a deadline and needed my car delivered when I arrived. We ended up paying $900 total instead of $475. And even after that, once the driver picked up the vehicle, he called asking for even more money, saying dispatch had given incorrect details about the vehicle and route.
To make it worse, FastAuto Ship even called me on the day of delivery trying to get me to pay another $100 on my credit card and give the driver $800 cash. At that point it felt like they were trying to squeeze money from both sides. I refused and stuck to what I had already paid and agreed to.
They are now harassing me to take down my google review! The company has called three times and text me to take it down, I will not answer or take anything down!
The only positive thing I can say is that my car arrived in one piece with no damage. But the stress, arguing, time wasted, and extra money I had to pay was unreal. I told the driver that Fastauto Ship even tried to get another $100 out of me and short change him, he said it happens all the time and to leave bad reviews for them...I said boyyyyy already done and done!!
My advice: be extremely careful. Do not trust the first quote. Make them put in writing that the price is the exact price and not an estimate. If they won’t, run.
