So I purchased a warranty for my club breaking, my club broke after normal use and they blamed it on a manufacturer defect and wouldn't replace it for me and offered no additional help but basically scamming me.

I had my Oura ring stop working a month ago (have not even had the ring for 6months) and every time I call to get the replacement process started someone says they will have a "supervisor call me", a call from a supervisor has yet to come in. I have to call them every week for the past month (this started 02/28/24) and its the same thing every time! "someone will call you" with no resolution. Don't waste your money buying the warranty through them as they are no help at all!
Response from Extend, IncApr 4, 2024

Horrible customer service! Frustrating experience! Read the clauses,sub-clauses,sub-sections,small print, because they will be quoted to you when you try to file a claim. They will wear you down with requests for more and more information, then pictures, then different pictures, then do the minimum, if that. Never buying another warranty from Extend,Inc !!! Update- customer service emailed that the closing of my complaint was a mistake and they would send new covers if I sent pictures of the tags. Too late, we had to pay 300.00 out of pocket to get couch cleaned so it's too late.

Coverage includes stains due to a isolated incident. When Extend sent our technician and cleaned the product on 11/13/23. The tech documented that their were multiple stains built up over time, therefore would be excluded from coverage. Extend went above and beyond and cleaned the product, and covered the replacement cushions. To move forward with the replacement, pictures were requested on 11/17/23. The claim was correctly closed on 12/5/23 after no pictures were received after multiple follow-ups from Extend. In the communication sent where the claim was closed due to no response, the agent also stated that at anytime time you were ready to move forward with the replacement to let us know and it would be honored and replaced. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist!

Place is a scam. Collect premiums and deny claims. Avoid at all costs. Product developed a defect (hole in glove) and they won’t stand by their product they insured. Thank you for your reply. Developing a hole while under warranty is not normal wear and tear when taken care of properly. Why didn’t holes develop in both gloves if that is normal wear and tear? Only one did. I purchased a new pair for my son and notice EXTEND insurance is not an option on the new pair. It appears the company and Extend are no longer partners anymore. I wonder wonder why?????

We have been attempting to contact you, Mr. Bazilus. The damage type defined in your claim was 'normal and tear' which is not included in our accidental coverage. Our terms and conditions in What is Not Covered, 7.1.6., outlines that the breakdown due to normal use is not included. Our coverage is designed to cover your product in case of a isolated incident. Extend works hard to clearly state our coverage and make every possible attempt to ensure our customers can access these terms at any time. We hope this clears up how product protection works. We appreciate your business and will continue to work hard to improve process for our customers! Mr. Bazilus, since the damage to your glove happened over time but was not the result of an accident, please reach out to the Merchant and they might be able to assist!

Purchased warranty for new rim and tire package. One tire blew out with under 1000 miles of use. Claim was denied and they wrote it was due to improper inflation of the tire. I asked the lady, please explain how someone halfway across the country can determine that my tire was properly inflated or not. The tire came mounted and balanced on the rim as a package. They come properly inflated as well. This company is a scam with all the promises when you purchase the warranty, but every excuse once you need to file a claim.

Thank you for your feedback, Mr. Amaral. We have been attempting to reach you to discuss your claim further and answer any questions you still may have. Your Extend accidental coverage protects you from road hazards, amongst many other isolated incidents. However, no road hazards where mentioned in your claim details. Accidental coverage does not cover manufacturer defects, which would need to be handled by them directly. Please call us back if you would like to discuss further or if we can help you contact the manufacturer directly.

Bought this warranty to cover a mattress I purchased. The warranty covers stains. When I called in to get a cleaning kit, they said it would arrive in 5-7 business days. It's been over 2 weeks, and no cleaning kit. In fact, I've been on the phone with them almost every day and each time it goes to a call center who notifies the agent. The agent has been notified each time I call in, but he gives no responses. Even when I send in emails, I get no response from the agent. AVOID buying this warranty. Very frustrating customer service with no solutions. EDIT: They claim to have a technician sent and I will wait and update this review when they send one out.

We have been tracking this claim closely and saw that you cancelled your original repair appointment on 8/26 and rescheduled for 9/2 which was then cancelled completely stating service was no longer needed. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. Our hope is that Extend was able to illustrate the care and consideration to solve this as quickly as possible.
