I had always stayed away from purchasing an extended warranty when they were offered to me at the time of purchase. I felt if the product that I was buying was highly recommended and already had a warranty on it. Why would you spend anymore. Also, over the years I have heard that most companies that offered the extensions on warranties would just give you a lot of excuses on why they would not cover your product or just pro rate it. Several years ago, I had purchased a new Motor Guide Trolling motor with the built in Pinpoint Gps. Since this unit was very expensive an featured all the new technology in today's trolling motor world, I had decided to go ahead and purchase the extended warranty. I will have to admit that I am glad I did. The warranty company I used was Extend Inc. This motor had failed due to a faulty main drive gear. I had spent hours on the phone with different companies and even the OEM, trying to purchase a replacement gear. Everyone had told me that the gear that I am needing, is no longer available. So, I had decided to call Extend Inc. where I had purchased the warranty. The customer service agent was very, very helpful and polite. He had instructed me on how to file a claim on-line and forward it on. Then I should hear back from someone within 24 hrs. I was kind of shocked when I had received an email back within 5/6 hrs. that my claim had been approved for a full refund towards the purchase of a new motor. My experience with Extend Inc. was just outstanding. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for an Extended warranty for their purchases.

Good company had shipping insurance through them on a part from car parts.even though the contract had expired because car parts did not tell me I needed a police report they still took care of it on a one time deal went way above and beyond to get me a full refund it took a little time for initial contact but after that they took care of me with a full refund woman that represented was so kind and respectful and handled business thank you extend.com

It was quick, efficient, and I was able to get a replacement even faster. The customer service was direct and speedy in handling the issue correctly.

Having lost a large sum due to damage incurred during an earlier shipment (a pricey amplifier), I decided to use Extend. GLAD I DID! The package in question was beaten up during shipping, but Extend covered it in full with minimal effort on my part. I would highly recommend their service!

I had to call customer service 4 times with 4 different problems & they where because I didn't understand what I needed to do!! These people were the very best all of them helped me through each and ever problem with a no problem we got you attitude!! I can and will recommend them to everybody!!! Excellent service & satisfaction threw out my dealing with them.

I used Extend’s warranty for my Oura ring. I’m so glad I did. After having a battery life issue, I contacted Extend to make a claim. Everything worked seamlessly. I’m so pleased.

UPDATE: Extend looked into my specific situation in more detail and was able to help me get information from the tech about what parts are needed. Additionally, they issued a second gift card for the amount of the original warranty to help offset the increased cost of the unit (I should note that, by the terms of the warranty they absolutely did not have to provide anything beyond what they already provided). Beyond that, though, they acknowledged that the process did not go smoothly for me, apologized, and took the time to talk to me on the phone, understand my concerns, and noted ways in which they were going to use this as a learning experience to improve their processes, which I really appreciate as a customer. I've come back around full circle on Extend and will likely use them in the future. OLD REVIEW: I've had problems with my product since April (it is now August) and had extend send a tech out to look at it and provide a fix. The tech said they didn't have the parts needed and would need to order them, but apparently never did. I tried to work with extend to get a tech back out to figure out what parts they needed, but 4 months later of back and fourth and out of the blue they send me a gift card so I can buy a new product instead. The problem is that the card only covers the cost of the original product. In the mean time the cost from the manufacturer has increased $200, sales tax is $185, and shipping is $218, even before I decide if I want to add another warranty, so instead of getting my device fixed under the warranty I paid for I am out a minimum of $600 if I want to get a new device. Overall I would not recommend getting an extend warranty. They put you through hoops, waste your time, and in the end it still ends up costing you an arm and a leg to replace the equipment.
