Don't believe the rebuttal to my review given by Excel Book Writing. After I had sent them my manuscript, they sent me their proof to review. I was ASTONISHED at the ERRORS!!!! Mispellings, missing words, missing puncuation, and captialization errors everywhere. I immediately called them to pull the project and get my money back. My "Project Manager" was "Eddie Coleman." He sounded so nice. He kept saying "Give us another chance." I kept saying no, as they had lost my confidence. I had never seen such poor work - even from a 3rd grader. He passed me on to "Kenneth Walker" Kenneth Walker is now by another name at their "company." I must have told Mr. Walker a dozen times that I wanted my money back. He wouldn't comply. My only option was to let him try and fix the project. They emailed me multiple drafts of my book, and multiple errors were still everywhere. With my help of correcting (at least 5 different exchanges), they finally got it right. The illustrations were cheap, and did not match the text. I had to go back and forth with them on that for 5 times as well. All the while hoping with all my might that I would get at least one book for myself out of it. While they were "working" on this, Kenneth Walker called me and told me he was in California talking with NETFLIX. He said that NETFLIX wanted to buy the rights to my little childrens book. I rolled my eyes. He worked on me with his lies and promises of big money coming my way from NETFLIX. Stupid me. He told me I would receive $20,000 to $25,000 in 3 months from Netflix, but it would cost me $8,000 for production on my part. Then he told me it would cost me an addition $5,500 for production of a much needed documentary on myself requested by NETFLIX in order to market the animated film. He said that there will be multiple press releases to promote the animated film that NETFLIX will produce from my book. He said that the press releases will be aired on all the major news networks; he named FOX, MSNBC and others. He was a fast talker and expressed extreme urgency in me paying the $8,000 or the deal would be lost. How stupid. Yes, the idea was stupid and I was stupid. He got the $8,000 from me and after my bank did an investigation of it, I got it back - thank God! They still had my $750 that I had initially paid at the beginning of all this. I told them they could either return my money, and forget about the book, or keep it and send me a single copy of my book. They kept the money and sent me nothing. They told me they needed my Social Security number to publish it on Barnes and Noble. I told them the had my EIN and didn't need my SS. They said they did need it. I told them I don't want it published on Barnes and Noble, I just want ONE single copy sent to me alone. They never sent it. THIS COMPANY IS REALLY, REALLY BAD. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR TALENT ON EXCEL BOOK WRITERS!!!!!!!!!! My heart is pounding from the injustice of these scammers. Look at the multiple glowing reviews they have - so many on the same day, the same week. While I cannot prove it, I highly suspect that these good reveiws are phoney and are posted at a high rate of submissions so that the real reveiws that expose them for what they really are, are buried. I have said all I can. Save your time and money. Do not entertain for one second to hire this bogus publishing company.

Shell company using shell names for multitude of bogus writers who only harass you for more and more money and dont deliver the service agreed to. Employees names are not real people. Claimed address on EBW is not theirs. Another office space claimed by their 'associates' is a 'rent an office' by the hour, day etc, not a permanent site for EBW. Ref the BBB site in these shamsters, EBW wont devulge any info to BBB, why? So EBW cant be listed. Amen 3/26/2022Oh the 'case ' will proceed, and the information we're giving the FTC,FCC and IRS will certainly peel back layers of deception, so if your company is clean, you ll be so happy to hear this and finally cooperate.

I don't know what to do anymore. It's been weeks since I've heard from anyone, and I have been waiting since last year for them to complete my book. At this point, just give me a refund and let me move on. Update: (May 24th) They still haven't delivered a single thing.

I had the most heartbreaking experience trying to get my book published. Thinking this was a reputable company, it would take me 5 months to realize they were scamming Americans. Whenever I would speak to Rachel (not her real name) I could hear people in the background, like it was a call center. The photo on Google is not their location; it's something completely different. As an author, this took the wind out of my sail. They said it was a money back guarantee. Another lie. Do yourself a favor and go to BookBaby or IngramSpark for your self-publishing services. They actually did what they said and it's literally up and running after three weeks. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

Terrible. I felt like I was scammed. It’s been five months and they still haven’t published my book. I finally just figured out how to do it and published it myself. They won’t issue me a refund, like they guaranteed. I paid for marketing, an ISBN…. and got nothing. Truly displeased. This is a real review. I changed my name but I am a real person.
