Sheri
Buyer Beware
I purchase a 1-year-old female Maine Coon from Olga. I was never given any paperwork or vet records, even after several requests. Upon a checkup with my vet, the cat was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia, which is congenital. I contacted Olga to pay for the surgery and she refused. She then cut off correspondence. Buyer beware.
Response from EuroCoons - Maine Coon Kittens - Maine Coon CatsAug 23, 2026
This review was posted only two days after Sheri first notified me of the hernia, while we were still actively working through possible solutions. For that reason, it does not reflect what happened afterward. Sheri purchased Hexe on December 27, 2024 for $1,000. There was no written health guarantee or agreement requiring me to pay future veterinary expenses. The morning after pickup, Sheri wrote that they had made it back to Colorado and that Hexe had been “amazing in the car” and “very relaxed.” The first documented medical complaint regarding a hernia was February 11, 2025. After Sheri notified me of the diagnosis, I did not simply refuse to help. I offered several possible resolutions: taking Hexe back and providing another cat, taking her back for a refund, and arranging for the hernia surgery through my veterinarian at a substantially lower cost. Sheri initially agreed to explore the surgery option, and I contacted my veterinarian and arranged for him to perform the procedure. She later decided that the travel from Colorado was not practical. When we later discussed reimbursement, I also agreed to try to reimburse Sheri the $1,000 purchase price, despite there being no written health guarantee. I explained that I did not have the funds available to make an immediate payment and that repayment would depend on incoming sales or an improvement in my financial circumstances. When I remained unable to make the payment, I told Sheri that I could not give her a reliable payment date at that time. I did not tell her that I would never pay her. The statement that I “then cut off correspondence” does not match the documented timeline. This review was posted February 13. Our documented correspondence continued afterward through February, March and April. I responded again on April 28, Sheri replied, and I sent the final documented message on April 29. That message was delivered, and there is no subsequent response from Sheri in the correspondence. Sheri is entitled to be dissatisfied with the outcome. I am responding because future readers should have the complete factual timeline rather than the impression that I learned of a medical issue, refused to assist, and stopped communicating.
