I’m super disappointed by essie, I purchased a beautiful color of nail polish that immediately started chipping and I contacted them to ask if they can do anything about it as in refund my money since their nail polish is so expensive and they said they would send me something but they never did! I threw the nail polish away, and I don’t plan to purchase their nail polish again even though they have all the best colors! This happened sometime last year I don’t remember the date.

Ich hatte einen Nagellack gebraucht der 5 Tage Urlaub aushält. Nachdem ich gegoogelt habe welcher Nagellack gut sei habe ich mich für den weißen Essie mit über und Unterlack entschieden da alle anderen bei mir nach einem Tag absplittern. Als ich in der Drogerie war hatte ich eine Verkäuferin gefragt welcher Nagellack gut vergleichbar ist dann meinte sie "Essie ist wie Mercedes" da musste ich leicht schmunzeln. Der Preis von Essie ist ja echt schon teuer und man denkt "ja der muss doch länger halten" Aber da habe ich mich wohl getäuscht!!! (von wegen Mercedes.) Ich ärgere mich so sehr darüber. Man zahlt 23€ für 2 Lacke und schlimmer als ein 5€ Nagellack. Sobald du länger beim auftragen brauchst fängt es an das er sich so komisch ziehen lässt und der Lack geht wieder runter. Normal braucht man beim lackieren 20min aber mit diesem Lack habe ich über 4 Stunden für Nägel und Füße gebraucht. Habe es länger als 2 Stunden trocknen lassen und bin dann ins Bett. Als ich frühs aufgestanden bin durfte ich alles ablackieren weil dieser iwie nicht fest geworden ist obwohl ich den 2 Stunden trocknen lassen habe. Ich bin einfach so enttäuscht!!!!! So viel Geld ausgegeben für Blödsinn!!! Da sieht man mal dass das teure nicht besser ist.

Die teuren Lacke von essie sind mehr als mangelhaft. Verschiedene Farben habe ich ausprobiert mit dem angeblich splitterfesten Überlack. Keine 24 Stunden hat der Lack gehalten ohne Splittern. Nach 48 Stunden blättern alle 10 Nägel ab. Unterirdisch schlecht. 20 Euro für die Tonne sind das!

Der Gellack hält keine 2 Tage und wird nicht richtig trocken. Von so einem teuren Lack hab ich mehr erwartet.

Muy mala calidad. Compré dos esmaltes que se supone que quedan como si fuese pintura semipermanente (uno de color y otro de brillo) 30 euros malgastados y que se van a los dos días. Es mejor comprar cualquier otra marca.

I am well aware that this is essie.com and not essie.co.uk who I had my issue with, but as far as I'm aware, this is the same company and assume that at the very least they communicate with one another, plus I'm pretty sure the same issue applies to the .com site, so it seems appropriate to report this here. Bottom line - they blatantly lie about ALL their products being vegan friendly when they're not, and have refused to confirm which are and which aren't when asked (I've tried to get this information on 5 separate occasions now, 3 times on the phone and twice in writing). VEGANS BEWARE, stick to brands that are happy to accommodate us with clear vegan labelling and transparent information, not a subsidiary of Loreal just trying to bank on the vegan "trend" without actually committing to being vegan friendly.

I had been a loyal customer for years however noticed that more recently purchased bottles of nail polish were becoming thick and unusable much more quickly than before, which I believe was due to the fact that these bottles were missing the little ball bearings which help to separate the nail polish. I complained to customer services on Facebook who were most unhelpful; I told them that I kept the nail polishes in a dark place, all sealed properly and used / shaken regularly. They replied to my message suggesting that I keep my nail polishes in a dark place, properly sealed and shake them regularly, which was really unhelpful. I then emailed customer services who asked for photos of the nail polishes in question which I sent them, we had back-and-forth correspondence where they asked me a number of questions with quite long delays in between the email replies but I persevered, only two eventually been told after a couple of months that because I hadn’t kept the proof of purchases (who does with nail polishes?) that they would be unable to provide any refunds and no replacements were offered. Really shoddy customer service, poor experience and very poor products.
