I ordered two turtleneck knitted sweaters with designs from what is presented as a US company but received from China two fabric mock turtleneck shirts with the designs printed on the fabric. And incredibly the neck openings are too small to put your head through them! They require either returning the unwearable shirts at my expense to their warehouse in China for a supposed full refund, with warnings that maybe it won't make it there, so most likely I'd be throwing good money after bad -- or else they offer after 11 emails a 20% refund to keep the useless shirts. DO NOT PURCHASE from Jennifer & John Charleston or any other online sales site affiliated with Elle Charleston. I am currently disputing my purchase with my credit card bank.

I ordered a pair of shoes, the Tazie | Orthopedic Heels for $47.95 USD in August and just received them in early September. They were terribly mid- shaped and the odor was overwhelming- a strong offensive chemical smell. These were advertised as orthopedic shoes which was a joke- they’re nothing but cheaply made horrible excuses for footwear that I cannot wear let alone take back out of the packaging because of the awful fumes. I contacted the company and asked for a refund- the best they could do was $10.38 unless I wanted to pay shipping and customs fees to return the item to Asia. I am reporting this as a fraudulent transaction to my bank.

Terrible! Can't seem to reach anyone to get a RETURN going! Phone cuts ya off...can't leave a message. They cannot be reached, except by email, which is NOT answered. VERY bad. Products are ok, not too sturdy, though, they are coming from out of state. Shipping is horrendous. NEVER AGAIN!

Ordered a dress and shoes for an event. Waited weeks for the order, which was okay because I ordered early in case something was delayed. The dress and shoes arrived and are definitely not as represented on the website. Very cheaply made. The dress is especially disappointing. Advertised as their a best seller but the material is very thin and poorly sewn together. The shoes are awkward looking in reality and the ankle straps are so huges they droop down and look ridiculous. Lesson learned about buying clothing online. The most irritating part is this company portrays itself as providing American products but it is just like Temu with higher prices. I probably will not return as I would be stuck with the shipping fee to send it back to China.

The shoes received did not match the picture - material and construction very cheap and poor quality. Return policy is a scam - customer has to pay return cost to Asian warehouse plus a 15% restocking fee or they will give 10% to keep. Will never purchase from this company again.

I purchased a pair of navy dress shoes on 08/24 for $66. They arrived today and the right shoe was completely permanently bended in half / unwearable - they just offered me 10% ($6.80). How dare they. Not only do I not have shoes for a wedding but they are holding up allowing my return for a 100% refund so I can start all over to find a pair of shoes for this event. Do not use this company. Returns go to Asia even with a corporate name that sounds American. They use a 3rd party AI chat box for customer service. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. If only I had one foot - I would be all set for the wedding. Furious.

This appears to be a scam. The website prominently says "No-Hassle Returns." I ordered shoes that did not fit. When I attempted to return them I learned I would have to mail them to China and pay a 15% restocking fee, meaning it would have cost me more than the value of the shoes. After trying to resolve it with the company, I contacted my credit card company, who thankfully refunded my payment. While trying to resolve this I learned that they also operate as "Jennifer & John Charleston." NOTES: The website photo shows a couple in front of historic buildings with an American flag (like it was taken in Charleston, SC). The shoes were shipped from Hialeah FL; the credit card charges showed up as being from both New York and Delaware.

I purchased 170$ supposed to be linen which I would pay for got 3 pieces of cheaply made polyester them they want to charge 15% for restock and I just threw everything in the trash beware you will not get what's in the picture it's a total scam once bitten be warned unless you like cheap hot polyester seriously it's 110° outside
