Very poor service and very arrogant in their approach. They don't even understand how educational institutions function.

As with other people’s experience I unfortunately had the same. They don’t evaluate your diploma correctly even though they have every single transcripts. They downgraded my DIPLOMA to a certificate!! Mind you I just received my BSN with an other evaluation service that had no problem of doing a course by course evaluation. Unfortunately I can’t use this for the universities I applied to. According to ECE I basically have no education, but have been working as a RN in the US with my German schooling….this is just a scam! They don’t take their time to look at your transcripts and just take your money….unbelievable.

DO NOT COME TO ECE FOR EVALUATIONS! Choose another company. BAD recordkeeping. In 2003, I submitted my foreign degrees with the ATA-certified translation for evaluation which was completed. I requested copies a few times, and I needed one in 2023. Yeah, 20 years later. I reached out just to receive the following message: "We make copies of reports available for five years from the original date of issue. After five years, applicants are no longer able to order copies of the report. Because the report was issued 2003, unfortunately it is no longer available for copies. Please submit a new application, including the corresponding fees and required educational documents. ECE does not have the educational documents available." Note that at the request of the original evaluation in 2003, it was never stated that copies will be available only for 5 years. You do not know what the future brings when evaluations are needed for submission. And sorry, I paid a hefty price already once, and I am not going to pay again!!!

I asked for a course by course evaluation and payed 370$ for it because of a lot of required « options », like 65$ delivery for a letter ?? I needed it absolutely for my application and ordered an express delivery because I was on a deadline. They refund me 95$ because they did a « general » report with written my name, my date of birth and 2 lines stating that I don’t have a credit diploma. In France this diploma is valid, I still lost 275$ and couldn’t apply to the school because they needed a course by course evaluation only. How is it even legal to set prices like this ?

A borderline scam and extortionist company posing as evaluators. I would stay aware from this company at all costs. They have convinced many institutions that, in order to accept international credits they need to be “evaluated to American standards,” but the standards, at least in my case, are a sham. They copy and paste the transcript (or a translation of one) and devalue the credits…all on the basis of broad generalizations rooted in your country’s entire academic performance in the field you are majoring in. Their standards would be akin to a French institution only accepting a fraction of Harvard credits because there are community colleges in the US whose academic standards are less. You’d think that for a $350 evaluation of your hard earned work, they’d have the respect to put some effort into researching and evaluating the actual institution you went to. (To make matters worse, they wouldn’t even look at my institutions schedule and curriculum when I offered it up for a second review…and have since refused to answer any emails). Save your money and avoid having to duplicate work you’ve already paid for and completed and find a university that accepts your credits…or find an evaluation company that will respect them.

Nothing but excuses for 7 months. We have spent 7 months and almost $400 trying to get her evaluation done. Both sides - Latvia and ECE have and continue to make a lot of errors; but we fault ECE mostly because they claim to be the experts. Even though they have her original sealed and signed diplomas and transcripts, and now the original signed and stamped certification from the Latvia Government National Archives - still ECE claims they been unable to communicate with the Archive. Yet, when we email or call during the regular hours (all information is posted on the official Latvian Government Archive websites in perfect English) AND (everyone in Latvia at the university and the Archive speaks fluent English); we get right through to our contacts there. ECE claims they cannot get in touch with the Archive. For other people, we have had our evaluation requests processed by companies other than ECE and the process is completed in a few weeks, Despite what they claim on their website, chat function is useless for anything and there is no way to contact the alleged ECE evaluator other than by email. In fact, you cannot walk in to their offices (we are not that far away); and they do not publish phone or fax numbers. This company ECE is NOT RECOMMENDED.
