I tried to get a replacement battery built for an electric scooter. Spoke to a fellow and he said that he could... he gave me the specs and said that he would get back to me with a price... Two weeks pass. I am emailed a quote of $320 and asked if I I wanted to continue. I try calling, emailing and speaking to a phone operator. One month passes... I finally speak to a person. I am informed that I have been communicatring with an AI... the $320 they quoted was wrong and its supposed to be $550. Tough break. Terrible experience.

eBike Marketplace (aka Rechargeable Power Energy, aka United Lithium Solutions): 2-month long battery rebuild cluster with these grifters. Initial telephone quote was $300-350, then after they had my battery charged $390; initial telephone verbal and website written 14-day lead time took over 2 months; cost $27 to ship to wrong former address on intake form, almost returned, 2-day hassle to reroute to correct new address; charged $40 to sloppily return ship, when questioned was cheerily told return shipping "usually $60, discounted to $40!" They invoice and require payment upfront at the time work should be completed but long before it starts, at checkout ask for "team tip" (with online complaints that "team" never sees), then send receipt stating "rebuild services are estimated between 6-8 weeks following payment of your invoice". I NEVER would have agreed to this lead time. Five weeks later, after several email and voice inquiries, they returned an email with lame excuses stating mine was "8th in the queue" and would ship in "1-2 more weeks". Inquiring after those 2 weeks, they wrote battery was "being shipped and we're sending discount info and tracking" that they didn't. After another inquiry the following week, they sent a tracking number that finally shipped 2 days later. Package received was a mess and miracle it made it. "Hazardous" packaging had bulging top and bottom, shipping label covered with tape that obliterated thermal printing, no ship from/to/tracking/barcode, only legible shipping label was carrier's small extra label hanging off box edge, contents labeled with another business name and my name misspelled, formerly pristine battery case scratched and beat up with misaligned gaping end closure. What's their production rate to switch out a few cells in a case -- one a week? More likely they're getting rebuilt batteries surface shipped from China for a fraction of their price. Battery did work, don't know how well or for how long -- and don't even want to think about their turnaround time on warranty work. The entire process was misinformation, bait and switch, price-gouging, avoidance, stall tactics and incompetence. This fiasco cost $420 up front plus 2 months of car expenses, around $600 total, not counting my time. Obviously, too late of course, it would've been much faster, cheaper & easier to just get a new ebike, so I did, one with in stock new & legacy manufacturer batteries for half with a week delivery. Then I sold the old ebike to barely recoup the rebuilt battery & will never, ever, go through this again. Unless you really like being lied to, ripped off, ignored and throwing away your time and money, learn from my mistake and avoid -- whatever they're now calling themselves -- like the plague.
