Dream Finders HomesReviews of dreamfindershomes.com

I honestly cannot recommend Dream Finders Homes. The house itself is beautiful, but the experience after closing has been one broken promise after another. Before we moved in, I specifically asked that the home be treated for roaches and bugs. It wasn't. I was also told the lawn would be mowed before we moved in. It wasn't. The grass was so overgrown that it had to be done immediately after we arrived. We were also promised that blinds would be installed throughout the home before move-in, along with a washer and dryer. Neither happened. Every time we ask for an update, there's another excuse, usually that they "lost people." Meanwhile, we're expected to live in a home where we can't do laundry, can't have any privacy because there are no blinds, and are constantly waiting for someone to follow through on what was promised. It's been well over 100 degrees outside, and we've gone days without being able to wash clothes. We had to buy extra towels because we couldn't do laundry, and no one has offered to reimburse us. When the washer and dryer finally showed up, the delivery team informed us they couldn't install them because the required power cords weren't provided. So once again, another delay caused by poor planning. To make matters worse, the HVAC air filters had apparently never been changed since they were installed during construction. Within a few hours of being in the house, it was obvious why the air quality was so bad. The filters were completely packed with construction dust. Instead of someone taking care of it before we moved in, I had to immediately go buy new filters just so my family could breathe comfortably. What has been most frustrating is the complete lack of urgency. Every issue seems to require repeated calls, emails, and reminders. Instead of unpacking and enjoying our brand-new home, we've spent our time chasing people down to complete items that should have been finished before we ever received the keys. One thing that also left a bad impression was being asked to complete a review of Dream Finders at closing. How can anyone honestly evaluate their experience before they've even lived in the home? Looking back, it feels incredibly unprofessional. The real customer experience starts after closing, and that's exactly where Dream Finders has failed us. The house itself is nice, but customer service doesn't end when the paperwork is signed. Unfortunately, that's exactly how we've been treated. Buying a new construction home should be exciting. Instead, it's been an exhausting experience filled with broken promises, excuses, and unnecessary stress. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Dream Finders Homes to think carefully before making that decision.

This company has been so disappointing to work with. When you purchase a luxury home the last thing you expect is to be hit with a thousand things that are sub par, but thats exactly what has happened. They are cheap, and have left things undone in the home and then refused to make it right despite the hundreds of thousands of dollars we are spending with them I would not recommend them to anyone.

Our experience with Coventry Homes (owned by McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. and Dream Finders Homes) in The Highlands, Houston, TX, has been nothing short of appalling and disheartening. What should have been an exciting journey to homeownership in The Highlands quickly turned into a nightmare of misleading practices and mistreatment. After being convinced to move forward with a new build despite our expressed desire for a quick move-in timeline, we were assured that our earnest money would be refunded if we chose not to proceed. We were clear that our decision was based on Coventry Homes inability to meet our timeframe due to my work commute and the need to relocate promptly. Yet, when we opted not to move forward after their preferred lender imposed unreasonable six-month delays, Coventry Homes suddenly refused to return our earnest moneyeven though we were not under contract for the proposed new build home. This bait-and-switch tactic, coupled with their lack of transparency and disregard for our situation, has been damaging. After canceling our contract, we discovered discrepancies in the earnest money amounts listed in the cancellation document. This, along with a complete lack of communication, has left us frustrated and compelled to pursue legal action to recover our money. Coventry Homes handling of this issue has shown a complete lack of integrity, accountability, and customer service. Their refusal to honor their commitments or provide any form of transparency is not only unprofessional but also unethical. We strongly urge anyone considering Coventry Homes to think twice. Our experience has been plagued with broken promises, mismanagement, and financial dishonesty. Save yourself the headache and choose a builder who values their customers and upholds basic ethical standards.
