Excellent Books on Math and Science
I own 55 books published by Dover. Almost all of these are on science and mathematics. Dover frequently finds the leading authors in their fields and publishes their textbooks. I have Dover books authored by Max Planck, Enrico Fermi, Cornelius Lanczos, James Clerk Maxwell, Israel Gel'fand and Georg Cantor, to name just a few. Those guys are frequently very good explainers too. The books themselves are invariably paperbacks but the book is sewn together in signatures. These are high quality books. If you sign up for Dover's email, then they will send you discounts periodically.
