Save yourself heartache and money
We hired David D'Franco because he was local and we support local businesses. The list of Why Hiring Them Was A Horrible Mistake is long. The biggest and most upsetting issue is that his painters damaged our wood floor. Tape was used to hold their plastic down and when they removed everything, we had a five foot 'stripe' on the floor where their tape removed the finish (OR in our opinion, left a residue that cannot be removed, despite multiple attempts and products). D'Franco never came to see the finished job or damage - until we asked him to. After telling him what happened, he turned it over to his insurance who refused to repair the damage. When we told D'Franco this was his responsibility - his company - he refused to make any effort to right this wrong and referred us back to his insurance company. Really?! You damage our floor and refuse to make it right?! Our options? Hire a lawyer or get this damage repaired on our own. Can anyone afford either these days? We have photos and documentation that we are sharing with everyone so that they can see not only the kind of company we had to deal with but also the poor quality of work done. Paint splatters on windows and floors, painting over areas instead of fixing them. If you want communication, timeliness and ethical business practice then this isn't the company for you. Seriously - save yourself heartache, trouble and money and find ANYONE else.
