I went to them because i was being garnished they informed me they would stop it and that i wouldn't have money money taken. My money was taken and they showed no interest on getting it back after it was taken even though it was taken after filing I'm still waiting to receive the funds there have not contacted me back in 4 months

I still owed money to bill collectors after I was done with my chapter 13. My parking tickets were not being paid on at all. Still owe the city of chicago for parking tickets. My credit score was very low, debt stoppers is a rip off! I had to convert to a chapter 7 after paying them over 10,000 dollars.

Communication is POOR

I missed my last two payments because my daughter had to have an emergency surgery and I wasnt working. The collectors would hang up in face, was rude and disrespectful. I asked to speak to his manager and he stated he had no manager and there was no one aside from him I could talk to. The next day sthe same guy called back with a different name and claimed he was the "manager". I went on to explain my experience with the person before him and he interrupted to say what im talking about has nothing to do with making payments. He spoke over me the whole time, refused to listen, and justified the other person's behavior. They have terrible customer service!! I will never recommend someone to try with him.

Dedtstoppers never responded to my email or call. Different things changed in my case and they would not inform me.

I'm a very unhappy customer. The customer service is really bad. They talk to u any kind of way. I went in and did a address change a whole month before they sent out my refund disbursement check. My check was still sent to the wrong address because sum lazy bum didn't update it with the courts. Now I have to wait 90 days since that lazy bum didn't do their job. Please take your money somewhere else.

Not all of my creditors were notified. They kept calling me after I did my meeting. Then I was asked by debtstoppers to notify the creditors that kept calling. I hired them to do so but I still had to go out my way to send over information to the creditors who were not notified. I also did not get a discount for the inconvenience.

I paid for a service and the service was not surrendered. There are creditors on my credit that were included in the bankruptcy that should have been addressed.
