Not a lot of help explaining bankruptcy and seemed to not slow down to go over everything with me. Never was able to talk to attorney and trying to reach them on the phone was horrible.

Ive had major issues at the end of my bankrupcy. I called ten times and got the same run around. Get your own private lawyer to handle yoyr bankruptcy. Discharged and no call no letter....nothing. Terrible customer service.

I had an good experience with them initially until I lost my job and wasn't able to make my payments. I am currently waiting for my unemployment to kick in and while waiting Pierre Porter called me and was extremely rude as I tried to explain why I was not able to make my payment. He said he will enter a hardship thing to explain why havent made a payment and then hung up on me. So today they actually took the payment out my account after I spoke to Pierre and was told differently. The payment they took was my rent money. I have no income whatsoever coming in and the last few dollars in my account was for I could have a roof over my head for another month. I called Debt stoppers to see if they would reverse it until I figure out other options. They transferred me to Pierre Porter and right off bat he was rude. He said its unfortunate but I signed a contract and they need their money. He kept cutting me off and telling me that he won't help me. I asked to speak to somebody else and he said no he is the only person I could speak to. Paying rent is more important then making a payment to debt stoppers UNTIL I get another job. I was hurt that I was treated in that way. Everything is all fine and dandy until you lose your job and can't afford to pay them. I called back and requested to have somebody give me a call. Some advice if you want to keep customers and keep people coming get rid of employees like Pierre. I'm not mad I can't get my rent money back and I will be homeless. I'm mad at the fact that I spoke to him twice and he was rude each time. There is no way that my $250 is more important then me having a place to stay. Do you honestly think I want to make a payment to a company that let's employees treat customers how Pierre did me?

I just wish i went elsewhere, no one would return my calls even after 24hrs i would not recommend Debtstoppers to my worst enemy! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

They told us our payment would be 650 a month, it was 1000. When we would call with questions, it would take days to call back. Often the person of contact would change. Never a direct number or person to contact. This is often a once in a lifetime occurrence, they do this every day, so they probably don't feel the urgency in answering questions. I don't feel the complete process was explained. They say 5 years to complete. It has been 6 years for me and I still have not got back my overpayment.

I filed with debtstoppers almost 2 years ago. Getting a hold of them is like pulling teeth. I'm on my 4th different attorney. And be careful of what they tell you. We almost lost the house because they gave me bad information. But when they need to get a hold of you, they can call you 10 times a day.

My credit is not clear yet inquiry is still on my credit report I still got stuff still up on my credit report had not been removed yet

They did help me with my financial situation, however it was painful having to deal with them. I never knew who my contact was from time to time because they just kept bouncing me around. Since I did not need to speak to them on a regular basis, when i did I always got the run around. The contact numbers did not work from time to time and had to call the 800 number which routed me to Chicago. Questions were not always answered when asked. They had to "get back with me" and sometimes they did not. i ended up having to call back once I noticed no one was calling me back. Just not very good customer service, but like I said they got me out of debt. So I would recommend them in fact I sent a family member to them but warned them of the customer service faults.
