Where do I start. Customer service is horrible. Nice at first but very rude after one has paid their money. For the sake of anything please give training to the receptionist a woman and a male or all at least at the downtown office located on Clark and Madison. A customer also has to make sure that their case is being handled right. Also please make sure if you're in the right bankruptcy. Many customers that I've talked with informed me that they were not given the right option for their financial situation. Note your lawyer and paralegal will change many times. Take names and info down. The lawyers are OK but they're overloaded with work, likely more interaction with the paralegal will take place.E-mail is better than phone to reach the lawyers or paralegal.Email is best because you have documentation to back any claim. I leave with for God's sake please give customer service classes to the receptionist. No professionalism at all. They act as if you owe them or should be kissing their behinds. We are customers who deserves respect. Also please respect the privacy of the customer. Who wants to have A group conversation about personal matters? I'll say something good nice offices and thanks for the pop, coffee or water.

They did what was required
They did do what they were supposed to do, with the least amount of effort possible. From the beginning when I first went in the office, I felt rushed to file. During the process my lawyer changed to many times for me to remember. Customer service was nonexistent. Most things I had to figure out on my own. I had an issue with the bank account I was making my payments with; I had to go to my bank and have them write a letter to the trustee to get it fixed. Not once did I receive a call questioning what was going on or to see if there was anything they could do to help. I remembered that I had to take the Debtor’s Education class; no guidance from the law firm. Last but not least my case was closed without discharge because of something they failed to do, I had to call for 3 days endure the worst customer service ever until I was finally put in touch with my new lawyer!!! Whom I must say was very helpful and handeled the sitution very professional and fast.

Poor communication
The employees at Debtstoppers never do what they say they will do. You have to continue to call them in order to get something done and when you call you have to always leave messages then it takes 3-4 days to get a call back.

Bad experience
They rushed through filing my bankruptcy and they didnt even file everything. They switch your lawyer without telling you. And when you do call its takes forever to get a response. I filed a 13 so I had to deal with them for 3 years. They have too many clients and not enough lawyers. I wish I filed with someone else.

Unprofessional in My Opinion
Attorneys were changed so often on my case that I NEVER knew who my attorney was. I was rarely contacted by the firm and leaving messages almost guaranteed that no one would return the call....unless I owed them money. It took 2 years to get my discharge and I still am a little unsure of what actually occurred because of the inadequate communication. I had gotten to the point where I was requesting to speak with the managing Partner or lead attorney for the firm so that I could get information on my case. He never returned the call either.

GOOD IN GETTING YOU IN THE DOOR, BUT LET DOWN IN ASSISTANCE
You have a good advertising game. You can get people in the door. You even look the part, until your attorneys have to step outside of that GENERIC MOLD for your Bankruptcy procedure to help with specific problems experienced by the client. You don't take into account of changing laws, attempting to RETAIN attorneys so that they can see a file closed or have better exiting procedures for your attorneys in telling their clients they (the attorney) are leaving (exiting your firm), give names contact info of attorney finishing the case.
You don't help the client walk out of your door without unresolved issues. I am still attempting to get Attorney Proctor or Attorney Batalon to respond to questions about getting me released with my Personal Mortgage from the mortgage company's Bankruptcy Department. Attorney Proctor did say he would help with getting my deed. OCWEN, DITECH has not sent any info releasing my property to me(to get me the deed)
I had to notify your firm that I was approaching coming out of Bankruptcy. You should have an in office sit down when discharge is inevitable. The attorney handling the DISCHARGE should handle ALLLL dangling, unresolved issues with the creditors that are in the bankruptcy, for example you, your firm knows that there was the issue of getting title for the car--- I've received that(that's a box you can check off the list on my file). There is a Rental Property that should be issued a deed (THAT BOX IS NOT CHECKED OFF THE DEED and IS STILL NEEDED, therefore this is an issue in properly closing this file until the deed is received.)
During the bankruptcy my mortgage amount changed but I was sent papers that made it appear that I didn't need to do anything, but keep paying what I was paying. PAPER WORK CAME FROM UNPROFESSIONAL SOURCES WITH ADDRESS LABELS HAND WRITTEN AND TAPED ON ENVELOPES WITH PACKING TAPE (that I thought was from some unreliable source, possible fraudulent source.
In my initial court appearance with the Trustee the attorney did not come and I had questions-- when the Trustee asked me a question I wasn't certain of how to answer --I looked at the attorney/paralegal sent and he looked more perplexed than I was.
You need a complete seminar AT THE BEGINNING introducing all of the aspects--STARTING, MIDDLE PART, POSSIBLE PROBLEMS, RESOLUTION TO ISSUES, HOW TO GET THEM RESOLVED, GOING THROUGH BEING DISCHARGED, ETC.--
Bankruptcy is not the stigma that my parents made me think it was it help me BUT getting your firm to help me through knowing and finishing it COMPLETELY I did not like it and still am sitting and waiting for some closure completely!!

Everything was not covered and had to send imformation repeatedly.
Most major items were covered but some smaller critical items seemed to not be addressed. We had to send some documents repeatedly and we had to wonder if they were lost of misfiled . This caused a great deal of concern on all fronts and no one could answer for them.
