This was the worst experience I've ever had.

Our night mare start with the assistance of the debtstopersATL in forest Park Ga. Made so many mistakes she had to keep going back correcting the paperwork and management to still get something wrong. We get our court date and the lawyer has no clue about our case. He got there 5mins before the judge called us. Some of the paperwork was missing and incorrect. We ended up having another court date. Like I said we made sure that everything was on the chapter 11, but they made us pay another $35 because everyone wasn't file. Now that we found out where the main office is. We personally took paper work to that office. Because they're still saying that we didn't have everything. You can reach the lawyer and if you do call you get a teleprompter. You can not speak to a human being. Now this has been going on since the November. Also the money we're supposed to pay for the bankruptcy is still sitting in my checking account, because they didn't retrieve the money. So that means our bills haven't been paid. Frustrated...

Ive never received not one phone call back regarding my case. I never get a reply back regarding my messages left in a voice mail nor have I received any paperwork in the mail regarding my case.

When I first started at debt stoppers in the beginning everyone seemed so helpful. Now 5 years later they have been paid in full and I can't even get a call back what a disappointment. My case has been paid off for 3 months now and still no discharge papers and no returned calls. I paid for a service I kept of my end of the barging by making payments on time and still not enough. This is ridiculous and consumers should not be treated this way when paying for a service. I just want this to be other with and I know in the future I will NEVER EVER DEAL WITH DEBT STOPPERS AGAIN!!!!!!
You guys are the W.
My filing attorney was Jordan Van Matre and he give us massive misinformation. The most important was that our bankruptcy payment would not change when I got a job after graduation. Our payment went from $800 to $1500 and I asked him specifically about it during the filing so we would be prepared. Your other attorney (Meghan Trefrey) negotiated a deal with Adam Goodman having us start the payment and only gave us a two week notice. Then we paid an extra $5,000 to Bank of America that we did not owe because we were not in foreclosure and she refused to investigate my concerns. I would never recommend your law firm. You need to train your lawyers if bankruptcy is your specialty.

I went there to ask some questions. Mostly needed my license. They got it back within week but once paperwork filed the attorneys would never respond to call or email. Always directed to an associate who couldn't answer questions. As I was completing case I had a lot of questions, none of which were answered. All they want is your money and nothing else to do with you. My advice is to shop around and get different opinions as I'm sure any attorney will have same outcome. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

From beginning to end I had a bad experience. Very rude personal and even worse communication. We had to always call to get information had to always leave messages n mo one listened when we spoke. It was just hell trying to keep up with the ongoings of the process with them. Often times I had to speak with another lawyer to get my point across with them. Just not a good experience and I wish we had went with someone else rather then rushing. Also their fees are high. Glad it's over.

The best way to sum it up "you get what you pay for" and that's the honest truth. They maybe cheaper and down payments maybe smaller however I encountered the worst experience ever with them no exaggeration. From the paralegal to the lawyer on down to the trustee. They certain have no issues taking your money at times double or more than what was agreed upon but in return takes over six months to refund it. The communication between anyone on staff other than the front desk is a rating of zero absolutely terrible. The laywers are rude and inconsiderate. The paralegals are no different and quick to pass the buck. No one was ever accessible to answer any questions for understanding or give any information pertaining to your case. No one was ever on the same page amongst, there was always a miscommunication. I hope that I never have to experiment another financial crisis in the future but if life happens I can assure you I will never deal with this company ever again. May they bankrupt themselves in the future because their service is so terrible. My case has been discharged and I still have not receive a refund but of course Debt Stoppers will not help or assist with finding out why and they are sure to pass the buck even after you've explained that you've done your part a million times. All all they suck and I will never recommend them to anyone.
