I had no idea where to start when my iMac hard drive died, we had zero previous problems with the computer so we kept forgetting to back it up just assuming we would get around to it not realizing that years were passing. When it decided to go we were devastated because EVERYTHING was on our computer including some very important documents that we wouldn't be able to replicate! We started our search for a reputable company and decided we wanted to find someplace local where we didn't have to ship anything out. We found Datarecovery.com based on online reviews and the fact that you don't pay if nothing is actually recovered and I cannot tell you how happy we are that we went with them especially since we were so freaked out with the situation and due to the damage of the drives we knew there was a poor chance of recovery. My WD external HD went belly up, we had backblaze online backup as a precaution, however we were not aware that backblaze deletes any external hard drive backups if undetected for 30 days. I am very impressed with Datarecovery. I had sent in a request for an estimate for recovery. They called very soon after the email. Unfortunately I had to leave the country and could not respond. However, they kept at it and we finally hooked up. Estimate for recovery extremely reasonable. They were able to recover every thing literally a day after my acceptance of the estimate. I am an attorney here in St. Charles, MO. My office computer hard drive suddenly crashed on the evening of 9/24.
