It’s a good program. It is at-your-pace which is difficult if you have other responsibilities in life. It’s good to talk with coaches but I wish there was more availability for one-on-one time.

Coming from the audio-video sector, I realized the technology I was working with was becoming outdated, and I needed a career change. Since I’ve always been more of a back-end developer, data engineering felt like the natural next step. After comparing several programs, the Data Engineering Academy stood out because it was far more structured, practical, and comprehensive. What impressed me most is how valuable the assignments are — every project builds real, job-ready skills. The coaches are very accessible, and the supportive community of peers has been just as valuable, since learning from others’ challenges helped me solve my own. Transitioning from systems design engineering into data engineering would have been extremely difficult on my own, but this program made it achievable. I’ve gained not only technical skills but also confidence in my new career path. I would definitely recommend the Data Engineering Academy to anyone serious about becoming a data engineer.

I joined the Data Engineer Academy 1 month ago, and it has been great! They developed a plan, updated my resume, and hold weekly meetings with my coach. He listens to my concerns and questions, and is patient in providing me with the best help possible.

The information is great! The support is great! We've even managed to build a little community to support each other in addition to the wonderful teachers, coaches, and mentors. I would like to see a little more structure and live classes taught but this is accommodated by the 1:1 coaching sessions they have available. And they do mini-mock and full-mock interview practices and apply for jobs for you!

Pros: One to one success coach. Flexible study plans. Relevant courses, Well structured plan, time to time scheduled events. Cons: Recorded lectures, you have to be at least 120% more active than your best as each thing is measure in time and your resources like applying to companies can get exhausted. Huge loan from climb on the highest percentage of interest rate.
