After a long career in finance, I made the decision to pivot into tech and pursue a data engineering role. I joined the Data Engineer Academy about a month ago, and it's been a great experience so far. I am currently working through the SQL track. The content is very thorough and geared toward real interview scenarios, not just theory. I appreciate that this program combines technical training with career guidance, including a structured learning path and the mentorship/coaching support the whole way through.

DEA has been excellent at providing consistent follow‑up, structured training programs, and real accountability. They push members to meet their deadlines so they can maximize their time, coaching, and effort. Their support is clearly focused on getting members ready for data‑related job interviews.

Arriving at the practice phase of the program, where I’m working on real-world projects, everything has been going well making more progress toward my milestone goal of becoming a Data Engineer. The academy environment keeps me motivated, especially the team’s continuous support and guidance. On top of that, the DEA resources and community platforms have been a strong foundation, making the learning experience much more efficient and engaging. If you’re enthusiastic about the field, it’s definitely worth the investment.

I joined to refine my skillset and understanding of data engineering in preparation for a lateral move. The trainings have been great, the learning modules are focused, and the support has been great. I'd recommend this for anybody that wants to transition into data engineering.
