My experience with Data Engineering Academy has been great so far. The learning materials are well-structured and highly effective for ramping up and upskilling in Data Engineering concepts and technologies. The CSMs and SMEs have also been highly supportive, and always willing to provide guidance when needed.

Excellent program for anyone looking to upscale their data engineering skills. Coming from Data Analytics background, I appreciated how practical and industry-focused the content was. The lessons on AWS, Spark, dbt, and pipeline orchestration felt like actual job preparation. This course is outstanding, but just anything else you get what you put it.

I’m a few months into the program and so far the team has been supportive and flexible with my needs which I really appreciate. There are also lots of members on the team to help and they are knowledgable in data engineering.

I started working with Data Engineer Academy because I was finally tired of being underpaid and overworked for my expertise in a company that didn't seem to care about me. The training felt right in line with many things I already did in my current job, plus it seemed like it would be able to fill the skill gaps that I was missing. Initially, I was nervous because it was a pretty big investment and I was already financially struggling, but I decided to go ahead and give it a shot with the mindset of, "Well, if it doesn't work, I can always get my money back." I definitely don't feel that way anymore. Now, I'm just working hard and pushing through the training, excited to complete the program and get myself to a better place, both financially and emotionally, with my career. I signed up for the Gold program + AI, and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they were on top of things. The same day I signed up, I was onboarded and received my personalized training program. Now I'm moving along the training path with my coach, who encourages me and helps me set deadlines to stay on top of things. There's a whole team of experts who, anytime I have a question, will respond with helpful answers regardless of the training topic. One of my favorite aspects so far is the mocks, which are essentially knowledge checks at milestones throughout the training, but in an interview-like setting, so you check your understanding and practice for future interviews at the same time. I'm looking forward to getting my resume looking the way that it should and can't wait for them to take all the hassle of applying to numerous jobs off my plate when I get to that point. So far, I've gone through SQL (which I learned I didn't know as much as I thought I knew), Data Modelling (which I found out I knew more than I realized), and now I'm doing some Python refreshers before hopping into AWS. You need to be ready for a change and willing to put in the effort, but if those two things describe you, then I highly recommend Data Engineer Academy. In fact, I have recommended it to two other people I know who are struggling in their current roles. Good luck in your Data Engineering journey!

Before I was at Data Engineering Academy I was a lead software developer automating firewall and network automations for virtual machines in the Software Defined Networking space. I was looking to level up my career in a number of ways. I wanted to really take on some greater responsibility and more challenging problems, I wanted to refine my skillset and use greater technical skillset in my every day work, and I was looking to get a higher salary because the cost of living is ever increasing in todays world. I looked at a number of different options to make this transition including masters degrees, academies, and courses online and Data Engineering Academy came across in my instagram feed. I decided to take a look and hop on a discovery call with them to identify if it would be a good fit and it immediately stood out for a variety of reasons. They tailor their education plan around your specific skillset and your goals helping you identify the exact knowledge and skills required to help you get to where you want to be. This is a huge difference from courses or masters degree programs that have one size fits all education programs. Additionally, in contrast to other options, they also help maximize the chance of getting a new position by helping you in every step of the way in navigating the job market from optimizing your resume and linked in to applying to jobs for you to helping prepare you for the interviewing process which is really unheard of in todays world. For them to have experience in both of those qualities and to give that lever of support sold me. I am now about one month into Data Engineering Academy and I could not be more impressed. My coach Ryan has been unbelievably helpful and responsive answering every question I have, helping me navigate my personalized education and giving the support I need while learning. I am about two weeks into learning SQL and have quickly mastered some really difficult concepts and feel confident in a short amount of time in tackling sql problems. In addition, the delivery of the education is top notch with an refined platform that teaches you and helps you test concepts immediately after learning them. Its really well done. While I haven't finished the academy, I could confidently recommend anyone looking to transition into tech, or an IT related professional looking to get into a more backend data related role to give them a call and help discover if they can help you because there is no cost to setting up that initial call and I think they can really help a lot of people out there struggling to find the perfect role for them.

Before joining DE Academy, my goal was to upgrade and expand my knowledge in data engineering. I did not have any major doubts or challenges, and the learning journey has been smooth so far. I am still going through the program, but I really enjoy how the curriculum is structured. The video tutorials explain each topic clearly, making it easier to understand the different areas of data engineering. Osaki Pokima, my CSM, has also made the journey even smoother with his support and guidance. Since joining, I have continued building my knowledge and confidence step by step. I would recommend DE Academy to both future and existing data engineers because it provides a clear learning path, helpful resources, and strong support.

The interviews are rolling in! Today alone, I had 3 first interviews from jobs that Mehnaz applied for on my behalf. Mehnaz is a great partner to have. She is an excellent communicator and holds me accountable to tasks that I have. She is encouraging and helpful when I need some guidance.

I’ve had a really positive experience with the Data Engineering Academy team, especially the job application support group. From the beginning, the guidance was very structured and focused, not just on applying to jobs, but on improving how I position myself, my resume, and how I approach interviews. What stood out the most was the consistency of support and the level of detail in feedback. The team didn’t just give general advice, they helped me refine my answers, align my experience with job descriptions, and prepare strategically for each stage of the process. As a result, I was able to successfully move through multiple interview rounds and reach the offer stage. I especially want to thank Shruti, Mike, Kajal and Pooja for their continuous support and encouragement throughout the process. It made a big difference in staying focused and confident.
