The overall process was really smooth and organized. I was looking for a fitting role and the team did their best to find it for me. There are a lot of recourses and classes to attend and prepare yourself for interviews. The load of application sent on a daily basis was also very consistent and enhanced. Definitely suggest their program.

Pretty impressive
DE Academy has been a very comprehensive experience thus far, and I am sure I will have a leg up in interviews over those who just wing it. The setup they have forces you to do hard things, and in the process, you grow both as a data engineer and as a person. Special thanks to Om Gaike for his support and encouragement along the way. If you want to greatly strengthen your chances of a having a great data career, you should probably check them out.

I joined Data Engineering Academy in…c
I joined Data Engineering Academy in May 2026. Coming from Insurance industry background transitioning to Data Engineering. My experience is overwhelming information to learn. It took me great amount of concentration to understand SQL. Practice multiple times until I can visualize the solution as clear as day. My goal is to master advance level as well as SQL Interview. I encourage everyone to try the academy because to me this is my dream job for the rest of my life.

Good so far!
So far, it's good overall. I'm near the end stages, setting up meetings to create stories around the course projects I did, setting up mock interviews, and resume reviews. It seems promising with the amount of prep that goes into the most important part of landing a job, the interview. I just can't speak to it's usefulness quite yet.
What I really did like was that they handed me the entire curriculum at the start and personalized it to my needs. So if you want to be very hands-off, you have the entire curriculum to do so. If you want more hands-on help, then there are options for you too. They put me in a slack channel with lots of SME's and coaches, as well as assigned me a personal coach that I could go to any time, Om Gaikhe was very helpful and responsive! There were drop-in calls every day for all sorts of things, like general Q&A, SME office hours, SQL/Python help, project help, etc. I only used the drop-in calls a few times, but they were useful when I did because I could ask questions and the SME's were there to answer them directly. I just preferred to ask questions in the slack as questions naturally came up (rather than wait for the day of the week that had the drop-in I wanted).
My one complaint and why I'm not giving this 5 stars is that the slack channel was not as responsive as I would have liked. Sometimes it would take longer than a day for someone to respond, sometimes a few days. Now, I did bring this up with my coach and the members of my channel did get better at responding quicker, and they also included a bot to auto-ping people. But I also think that the natural time difference, if you live in the US, is a problem because a lot of the SME's are in India, so you typically have to wait a night/day for a response just due to time differences. But if you keep that expectation in mind and try to ask questions early in the slack channel and just follow-up on questions the next day, it's usually no problem. With the resources they provide just searching the internet, I could usually figure things out, it's only when it came time to review projects that I felt this issue the most. But all-in-all not a huge deal. I think this experience gave me good direction for what I need to study and practical projects as well.

I have been with DE for several weeks now, and I think it’s really well structured for self-motivated learners. There are tons of practice questions that help you learn SQL.

My experience has been very good so…
My experience has been very good so far. The structure and curated curriculum was all I needed. Also, after every completed section, the confidence to know that I am proficient in that topic gives me a good boost. There is always willingness from the team to help and there is accountability from them to me to stick to the plan and trust the process. You are nudged to be successful and my questions are answered as much as they can. So all in all, it has been nice.
For anyone entering the program, you need to understand what they offer and not mix it up with what you think they should offer. This is a mostly self-motivated self-study program and you need to understand that you have to put in the hours and work hard towards being successful. You also need to be willing to leverage other resources that could help in one or two sub-topics to fully grasp the concepts and little details that could complete your understanding of that topic.

Responsive team
Responsive team, good application support so far. Recruiter calls and assessments have been steady. The next milestone for me is real interviews , that's what I joined for and I'm trusting the team to help me get there. Communication is clear, they follow through. Will update the review once interviews start coming in.
