Dashboard Design LabReviews of dashboarddesignlab.com

We engaged Dashboard Design Lab to lead a major web analytics and optimization initiative at a large, highly decentralized public university, where there had previously been no central oversight, and our GA4 configuration was, frankly, a mess. They brought an essential voice of experience and reason to an environment with widely disparate stakeholder knowledge and expectations. They simultaneously established credibility, aligned people around a shared understanding, and built and implemented a clear, realistic plan forward. That is no small feat in a large, speckled stakeholder landscape. Their technical expertise is deep and current. They clearly track the latest analytics tools, features, and trends. But what truly sets them apart is their ability to translate that expertise into plain-spoken, practical benefits. They met people where they were, whether that was a one-person department for whom the website is a tiny fraction of their job, or seasoned digital marketers focused on enrollment and campaign performance full-time. Everyone left conversations with greater clarity and confidence, not confusion. Dashboard Design Lab was precise, communicative, and conscientious throughout the engagement. They did exactly what they said they would do, on time, and with a strong sense of ownership. They were also understanding and accommodating when internal delays on our side extended the project timeline. They never lost momentum or focus, even when we did. Finally, they played an important role in helping reset off-base perceptions some of our leaders had about digital marketing and analytics trends. At a time when AI hype and “snake oil” narratives were prevalent, they helped ground the conversation in reality and steer us toward work that would actually make a measurable difference for our business. I would confidently recommend Dashboard Design Lab to any organization dealing with complex analytics challenges, especially those navigating GA4 transitions, decentralized governance, or leadership misalignment around digital strategy. We would (and will!) absolutely work with them again.

Jonathon has been nothing short of brilliant. We brought him in to fix complex tracking and attribution issues tied to GTM, GA4, Meta, and consent management — and he completely delivered. He set up our server-side GTM from the ground up, reworked our consent logic so it’s fully compliant without hurting data flow, and untangled long-standing attribution gaps between platforms. Everything was done with care, precision, and clear communication. He’s incredibly diligent and detail-oriented — the kind of consultant who doesn’t just get it working, but makes sure it’s done right. It’s rare to find someone this sharp and dependable. If you need a true expert to fix or future-proof your tracking, Jonathon is your guy.

I lead marketing for a B2B SaaS company, and our website analytics have been a mess for a while. The transition from Universal Analytics to GA4 was not smooth for us. We didn't have good reports and dashboards set up, we weren't tracking basic activities like ebook downloads and purchases, and I struggled every month to understand how our website was actually performing. I found Dashboard Design Lab and knew from our first conversation they were the ones who would set us right and I was not disappointed. Jonathon and Sara jumped right in and became honorary members of our team as we untangled our current analytics and created a new structure that supports our goals. They have a detailed process that they walked us through, so it didn't feel overwhelming, and they took everything step-by-step to make sure nothing was missed. They provided structures and processes for things like UTM creation and content tagging so that our analytics always stay clean and we can get the most out of our GA4 data. They were willing to listen and understand our businesses and our processes to recommend the best solutions in each situation and with each piece of tech we use on the website. They are also so patient with explaining things and training our team, so we feel confident moving forward. I am now confident that we are tracking everything that we want to on our website (sooooo much more than we've ever had before) AND the data is all presented in beautiful dashboards that help us answer questions like "what content brings the most people to our site?" and "what content converts the most visitors to a booked demo or purchase or ebook download" and "what is the conversion rate of our website?" and more. I would recommend that anyone looking to set up analytics, refresh their analytics, and/or set up reporting and dashboards use Dashboard Design Lab - they will make your life so much easier!
