DARCARSReviews of darcars.com

Dear Chief Executive Officer, I am writing to formally express my profound dissatisfaction with the treatment and lack of communication I have experienced following my approximately $70,000 vehicle purchase from DARCARS Nissan of College Park, Maryland. I have purchased literally hundreds of vehicles over the years, including numerous high-end vehicles, and I cannot recall ever encountering this level of poor communication and lack of follow-through after a sale. Since taking delivery, I have repeatedly attempted to obtain assistance regarding several unresolved matters. Most notably, a missing key fob has still not been satisfactorily addressed. More concerning, I have received no meaningful information regarding the status of my Pennsylvania registration and tags. I do not know whether the necessary paperwork has been processed, submitted to Pennsylvania, or whether my tags have even been issued. This lack of communication has now created a potentially significant problem. I am operating a vehicle that still requires Pennsylvania inspection, and more than 30 days are passing while I wait for registration matters to be resolved. This is particularly troubling because I purchased the vehicle with a 30-day warranty and specifically wanted the opportunity to have it inspected within that period so that any issues discovered during inspection could be addressed while the warranty remained in effect. Perhaps the most disturbing part of this experience occurred when I finally spoke with the sales manager by telephone. In discussing the lack of follow-up, I was told, and I quote: “Well, since you left a negative review, there’s nothing more. We just didn’t want to make it worse.” I find that response extraordinary. A customer’s negative review should prompt a dealership to investigate the underlying problems and make a reasonable effort to resolve them—not become a reason to discontinue communication with that customer. My review was the result of the dealership’s lack of responsiveness; it was not the cause of it. At this point, I am simply asking DARCARS to fulfill its post-sale responsibilities and provide clear answers. I would like immediate confirmation of the status of my Pennsylvania title, registration, and tags; documentation showing when and where the paperwork was submitted; resolution of the missing key fob; and appropriate consideration regarding the 30-day warranty period given that these delays have interfered with my ability to complete the Pennsylvania inspection within that timeframe. I am genuinely baffled that a transaction of this magnitude has been handled in this manner. Once the vehicle was sold and I left the dealership, the level of communication and customer service seemed to disappear. I am bringing this directly to your attention because my attempts to resolve these matters at the dealership level have not produced results. I would appreciate having someone from DARCARS corporate management contact me promptly and take ownership of resolving these outstanding issues. I hope DARCARS will view this as an opportunity to correct what has been an exceptionally disappointing experience and demonstrate that the treatment I have received does not reflect the standards of the organization as a whole. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to a prompt response. Sincerely, Gregory Rendelman

Do not do business here! !! scam dealership , do not do business with Alieu , support any other Toyota dealership

I just bought a used car from Glen he really was a pleasure to work with and the sales manager Tim was also very easy going without all the back and forth I originally expected. Thankfully these gentlemen at DACARS Volvo in Fairfax, VA were able to help me make what I believe could be one of the best car purchases.

IS ‘CHECK ENGINE’ LIGHT A REASON FOR REPLACING TIRES? For decades, I buy Chrysler manufactured cars and vans and service them at Fitzgerald Automotive Group service centers. In my Fitzgerald doesn’t have Chrysler dealerships, so, when you need to have a look into something dealing with car electronics, they advice to go to the nearest Darcars Chrysler dealership. In March 2021, I got a ‘Check Engine’ light on and took my car to Darcars… They kept my car over a month because of Covid-19 shutdown there was a shortage of spare parts. But the nightmare wasn’t related to Covid. It was caused by Darcars mechanics, management and the dealership owner behavior. Instead of checking the engine, the Darcars dealership focused on my car tires and other things not related to the engine issues. …Focusing on my intensive driving and my Chrysler Pacifica tires and other things, Rockville Darcars Chrysler dealership mechanics never discovered the reason for my car ‘Check Engine’ light on. Despite total diagnostics run for days and weeks. Since then I stopped using Darcars dealership’s “services” considering them unreliable and fraudulent. I switched to two other Chrysler dealerships services. They were further away from my home, but people there were much friendlier and services were incomparably better. They did it differently, but every time I stopped by for oil change or other services, my Pacifica was scanned and issues (if any) were shown to me on the computer screen. No cost simple diagnostic… That’s how they discovered that my car has engine misfire when I got my next ‘Check Engine’ light on. I was advised that this is a very serious issue. Service advisors at both locations continue watching it closer. As my Chrysler Pacifica was aging, engine misfire became a serious problem, and I was told that mechanics need to open the engine to have a look into cylinders and see what is going on. I was warned that this operation would be costly and there is no guarantee that it will bring a good result. The second option was replacing the engine. I decided to consider this option and asked how much would it cost. “Around fourteen thousand dollars”, — told me a service manager at Chrysler dealership in Northern Virginia. “Well, it’s like buying a new car..” — I said. “Yep!” — the service manager agreed. Because of engine misfire, my car didn’t passed the emission test. I was given a few months to fix the car. I decided that in my situation there’s no other way but to continue using the car through these few months and then just take it out of usage. A couple of weeks ago, it happened to me to give a lyft to a guy named David who advised me that my car needs to be scanned. He appeared to be an independent car dealer and a mechanic with fifty plus years of experience. I explained him that I am aware what is going on with my car, I shared details with him and told that I am going to retire the car. David told my that my car is too good to trash, and if the engine has to be replaced, it can cost approximately $3,500 — $4,000. “Dealers offering you engine replacement for $14,000 are cheating you”, — he said and continued: “It’s possible that you don’t need to replace the engine. Maybe, all you have to do is just replacing coils”. I couldn’t believe David, and he noticed it. “Trust me! I will refer you to one of my mechanics”, — he promised. The very next day he texted me his mechanic’s contact information. I took my Chrysler Pacifica to that guy’s shop, and in a few days I got it back running like a new car. He replaced coils and spark plugs, and the cost of this was just $750. Seven hundred fifty dollars! With no several days “diagnostic”. With no opening the engine and looking into cylinders. With no engine replacement for $14,000. BEWARE OF DARCARS, GUYS! SEARCH GOOGLE FOR “BEWARE OF DARCARS!” ENTIRE STORY AVAILABLE ON MY WEBSITE.

I made an appointment, waited, and took my Toyota in to DARCARS Collision of Rockville, MD. for some repair work around my right fog lamp. I dropped it off at the agreed upon time on 7/7/2024 for what my insurance company told me would be a two day job. DARCARS Collision of Rockville told me that they had acquired all the necessary parts before the repair began. On 2/8/2024, I received a text that said the estimated completion date was now 2/15/2024, quite a bit longer than expected. I received text messages every day they were open telling me that they were on track to deliver my car to me on 2/15/2024. Even on 2/15/2024 I received a text saying they were nearing completion and if they encounter any delays they'll call. Fair enough. Like reviewers have said repeatedly at other sites like carwise.com, they simply cut off all communication at that point. The afternoon of 2//15/2024, I called and asked if my car was ready and they said the only one that could answer that question was the manager. They didn't know where he was. I said I had make a decision as to whether I should to return my rental car. They said the manager would call me back in 30 minutes. After an hour with no contact, I called again. Oh, he'll call you back in 20 minutes. Nothing! No contact. Totally MIA! Luckily I managed to extend my rental car. We've repeated the same ridiculous and unprofessional dance over the past two days. I call and nobody can tell me what has happened to my car. They promise to call me back but never do. Up until now, I was a repeat customer. I bought the car at DARCARS Toyota. I've had it serviced there. Now at DARCARS Collision of Rockville all I can imagine is a couple of Neanderthals with hammers hitting my car who don't understand what that periodic ringing sound is. The text messages all contained the following: www . carwise . com /e\/4DYvYF If you look, you'll see the expected pickup as: Yesterday 4 PM How do I get my car back? I wonder what season it will be. Will they have flying saucers then... Any help would be appreciated. - James Potter

Went to inquire and test drive an electric bmw in mt. Kisco. Employees unknowledgeable about anything to do with their electric vehicles. The woman sales person (who answered the phones) spoke only to my husband as if women weren’t smart enough. Would not go back to that location!

If you purchase a used car from them, it's likely a flood car. I bought a Jeep from them and it was a disaster. Rust under the carpeting and the headliner where the skyslide never worked except to let water drip in. The tires they told me were fairly new were actually at the end of their life span. In the first two years I had this thing, I had to replace the brakes, radiator and air conditioner compressor. The salesmen were condescending when I tried to get repairs done..and there were NO female salespersons or in the service department. The only woman visible in the entire place answered phones. I finally discovered the thing had so many recalls it just wasn't safe to drive. It's parked and I'm waiting for the junk yard to come get it.
