Wonderful in every respect: the magical places we went to, the charming people we met, the excellent hotels, Tim's amazing driving skills, the history and atmosphere we breathed in from the moment we arrived. Now that I'm back home, I've done some thinking about what made this tour so enjoyable, and I think it was largely the people skills and intimate knowledge of the region possessed by David, Tim, and Harry. It was exactly as advertised: the annoying details of travel were invisibly taken care of for us, and we were safely escorted and looked after, but without them being obtrusive about it. There was plenty of flexibility to do whatever we wanted, whether to go along with the three of them and enjoy their expertise, or to take off on our own. Lovely group of people also; by the first stop in Port Isaac we were already good friends. Small group tours are a great idea; I would never go with a large group after this. Absolutely and wholeheartedly recommended!

I've always wanted to tour Cornwall but none of the big tour companies offered a comprehensive tour of southwest England. A google search led me to Daceys Cornish Tours. Fate was smiling on me that day. I liked their itinerary - more comprehensive than the other tours offering sights like the near inexcusable Port Issac home of Doc Martin, and an evening at the oceanfront Minack Theater. I loved it all. Way more personal and intimate than the big tour operators. Everyone in the tour came together like an extended family. Dave, Harry and Tim were outstanding - very personable and knowledgeable. The hotels were 1st rate - a very pleasant surprise, much better than the ones offered by the big tour companies. The days were well paced with a nice blend of sightseeing and time to be at ease and explore. Small customized and intimate tours are all I'll be taking in the future. Daceys has set the bar very high for all future tours.

My tour with Dacey's is the first small tour I have taken and I give it five stars. If you want flexibility, warmth, and great unique hotels with big wonderful bath towels. This is a small detail but impressed me. The team of Dave, Harry and Tim were wonderful and their love of Cornwall came shinning through. I like the small touring companies now. Cornwall rules !

The Cornish people are friendly and charming. Cornwall is charming, breathtaking, and inspiring. Land's End literally took my breath away - enjoying the vistas, thinking about the history and exactly where I was! I could move into one of the cottages in Port Isaac today and be quite content. I loved wading into the ocean at Portcornu (probably getting the name wrong but you'll know it when you see it) and feeling the freedom it delivered. There was nothing on this trip that I did not enjoy. The accommodations were diverse, clean, and lovely. I enjoyed having time for independent touring but David, Harry, and Tim were available for questions and guidance. The knowledge they have and can retrieve to share with us is amazing. David on the Dacey's Cornish Tours website lists the five things you should not miss experiencing in Cornwall, and I concur. If you want to see breathtaking scenery, travel with a small group, have an efficiently organized schedule with plenty of time to wander on your own, stay in pleasant hotels, and have a team of knowledgeable, helpful, friendly leaders, then this is the tour for you. Cornwall is a magical place, and its historical past is fascinating. I would love to go again.

This was our first group tour, and it was perfect. The scenery is beautiful, the hotels quaint. There was a nice blend of organized and independent time during the tour. We especially enjoyed going to Port Isaac, as we are big Doc Martin fans. We also enjoyed the Minack Theater. What a spectacular venue. A thank you to David, Tim, and Harry for sharing their love and knowledge of the area with us. You all made it a very special trip.

Cornwall speaks for itself. It's beautiful, peaceful, slow-paced and refreshing. I can't recall when I saw so much green & lush open-space, adorned with flowers everywhere (June tour). I found it 'therapeutic'. What adds to this pleasant feeling is that David of Dacey's Cornish Tours offers you a comfortable, casual, small-group tour of the many lovely areas of Cornwall. Being part of a small group makes it easier to get to know your fellow travelers, and makes it easier to navigate around the sites we visited. David chose venues that were interesting and held something for everyone to enjoy. With David's obvious love of the area, he explained the charm of each place we visited. We were able to explore at our own pace, but with guidance and assistance, if needed. Harry and Tim, who were also our ‘guides’, shared their knowledge and sentiment about specific areas of Cornwall. All three gents were delightful & easy-going. The hotels were all clean and comfortable, and were pretty convenient to the touring sites (or were a ‘short walk’ to get there.) David’s organization skills were apparent, because the tour venues were readily available for us, and the hotels’ staff warmly welcomed us. In addition, prior to our trip, David kept us up-to-date via e-mails about the plans & itinerary, which helped us to develop a rapport before we met in person. I definitely recommend this tour company, and I’d love to return to Cornwall with them again someday!

We enjoyed David, Tim, and Harry immensely and they led our group flawlessly through the best sites in Cornwall. The scenery and villages were absolutely amazing and we enjoyed meeting people both in our tour group and in the towns. Dacey's Cornish Tours gives you the best of scenery, attractions, shopping, and dining all in one. The variety was perfect for us.
