Hi there, Chuck, Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback and the experience that you had. I am so sorry that that was the experience you had with CUDDLY. That is absolutely not the experience we want you to have. CUDDLY is a free fundraising and wishlist platform for non-profit animal rescues and shelters to utilize. We implemented our tip feature to help us cover the cost of financial transactions and CUDDLY's continuing mission to support rescues and shelters around the world. That being said, the tip feature is also 100% optional. You can opt out of tipping by clicking "custom amount" and typing "0". That with our 2.99$ Processing Fee is most likely why your donation went from 50$ to 61.99$. CUDDLY will never require donors to pay for unintended tips and we can absolutely refund any donations as long as they have not been sent off to the shelter or rescue you have donated to. I would like to offer a partial refund, your unintended tip, or a full refund if you would like. I would also like to offer any help I can in using credit cards to donate rather than the experience you had with PayPal! Concerning the tipping feature, we implemented this option to help keep our platform completely free for shelters and rescues to use. That being said, the tip feature is also 100% optional. If a tip was inadvertently added to your donation, our friendly customer service team can get that refunded for you. You can reach out to us at [email protected]. Thank you for joining us in the mission to save more animals! CUDDLY applies a transaction fee of $2.99 due to fees that are charged by our payment processor. We also retain 10% of monetary donations in order to support our ongoing efforts to keep our service free for animal welfare organizations. We also endeavor to ensure their campaigns are successful by providing tools and marketing efforts at zero cost to them. There are a couple of ways that you can search for your shelters in your area or particular groups that you are interested in donating in. Cuddly offers a partner search that you can use to find shelters or rescues anywhere! We also offer a location search on this page that you can use to find partners near you: https://cuddly.com/shelter-search If there is a particular shelter that you are looking for, you can always search their name on our Donate Now page to see if they have any active campaigns.:https://cuddly.com/donate/change-a-life If you know the name of the shelter you are looking for but have been unable to find it on our site, the best way to find them in that case is to internet search their name, followed by CUDDLY. Our development team is hard at work at improving our search function and your feedback is incredibly valuable in helping them make a better site for all of our users.
