I admire Cuddly for the great work done for animals in need; the worst, desperate cases.
One thing I don’t understand is the high prices for items on the donation lists, food etc. Thays why I choose to donate money when I’m able to donate.

Initial communication is good/follow up needs improvement
It’s overall very good about explaining an animal’s unfortunate situation, but follow up is sporadic. We donate and then don’t know how the animal is doing. Also what’s left to donate-it’s hard to see that info. If we donate, provide us email follow up.

Any updates we get about the animals automatically show up on their campaign page.
We do try to get regular updates, but as you might expect, animal welfare organizations are very busy.
Animals sometimes also get removed after the campaign is complete or at the request of the welfare organization.
We can't usually get dependable updates on these.
I do apologize for the inconvenience here, we do make our best effort to keep campaigns fully updated.

Cuddly shows the internet is actually good for something
What you do is amazing! The amount of animals we can all help now is wonderful. Not only for the animals but for us. Especially the animals who are sick or injured due to neglect or just plain evil humans. It gives those of us who love these animals the chance to show them that there are good humans too!!! The only reason I didn’t give a five star rating is because I’d really really like there to be updates on the criminals that commit the heinous crimes against the animals. That would make Cuddly absolutely perfection.

I like everything about Cuddly, and hope to continue to support animals and their respective non profit organizations.
Would you be able to clarify what the fees are for and the optional "Tips"? What is the "Tip" for since this isn't a restaurant/dining establishment?
How do you vet organizations that are able to use Cuddly as a platform?

Hi Brian, thanks for the great questions!
Our low fees help us cover the costs of the financial transactions and CUDDLY's operations. We implemented our tip feature to help us continue the work we do for rescues and shelters around the world. That being said, the tip feature is also 100% optional to every donor.
All prospective rescues or shelters have to go through a multi-step verification process before they can post campaigns on CUDDLY. This process verifies their 501c3 charity status, financials, veterinarian relationships, criminal background records, charity rating and history, and more. We are dedicated to transparency and making sure your donations go to valid animals in need.

In regard to the wishlist items in our catalog, our objective is to support animal welfare organizations by helping to provide what they need to help the animals under their care. CUDDLY works hard to maintain competitive pricing and we do everything we can to keep costs low such as working with pet brands and bringing supplies directly into our warehouse. Any and all donations go towards making a positive difference in the animal’s road to recovery and are greatly appreciated. It is important to note that we strive to keep our platform free for animal welfare groups, as such, a reason for why our products may seem higher priced is because we include the cost of shipping and handling fees. In addition, all wishlist items & donations are tax deductible for donors which is explained in further detail on our FAQ page.
Being for-profit, for-good allows us to offer many additional opportunities to our partners such as being able to fundraise for transport vehicles, paid television advertising, and promotional spots on social media. We also provide an email marketing tool that helps to easily send emails at the most optimal times in order to reach their campaign goals. These are all tools that would otherwise be unavailable or inaccessible for many of our partners.
