I own a Towing company and give Christmas baskets to all of my customers every year. I saw them in the Country Door catalog and thought I'd try them. I ordered 17 boxes of assorted sausage, cheese, condiments and sweets. I paid $700! The boxes are nice with red stripes so I just needed to put a bow on them. They arrived in 4 separate packages and the top box in every package has a giant shipping label on it. ON THE TOP OF THE BOX! I tried removing it but they don't come off. Why wouldn't they put the boxes in a shipping box or at least put the label on the bottom of the boxes??? I tried calling them and could not get in touch with an actual human so I emailed them. I asked if they could at least send me 4 empty boxes WITHOUT shipping labels on them and they refused. Now i have to come up with a way to repackage 4 of them so they don't look like crap. I was hoping to order from them again next year but that's not going to happen! Their "customer service" SUCKS!!!! Their catalogs are going straight into the wood stove from now on! They don't give a damn about their customers! All they care about is money! Never going to order from them again!!!!

There's a reason many customers sign up for automatic payments. So we don't have to worry about missing a payment and incurring the wrath of billing. We've had so many problems with billing over the years. They used to let you pay with your bank account. Once they did away with that, I've struggled to cough up the money on my credit cards to make the minimum. Automatic payments are supposed to be just that. Automatic. I didn't have to worry about making a payment each month. Not so for July. They didn't take out the payment and now they say I owe double. They're slick. They didn't even notify me by email. You can't make any more purchases until you pay what they say you owe. Nice, eh? I like their products and have a home decorated with squirrels and their autumn flower vases. But they're vicious. Now, I have to call them and find out why they didn't take out the July payment. I had enough to cover it. Unless they're trying to get their money's worth by shaking me down for twice what I owed that month. I wouldn't order from this company unless you have a steady source of income and a reliable payment option. Country Door may just give the Mafia a run for their money with their questionable business practices.

Pay on time never miss a payment and they refuse to give me a $200 credit no problems would not be using them anymore and will tell my friends

This is the 2nd time Ive ordered from them. First time wasn't good, I ordered a bedspread and pillow covers, covers came right away. Of course the spread was on back order which was understandable. But they kept putting it further and further. didnt get it for 6 months. the shams were paid right away but I was not paying for something I hadnt received yet. Not knowing if Id ever get it. so they turned me into collections for late payments. Finally got that straightened out and like I sai got the spread in 6 mts. Well, I thought that was just a fluke so I tried them again. Big mistake. The item I orered never came but I was billed for it. I called and called. Finally I spoke to a lady that knew how to do her job she apologized profusely and sent another set. Took about a month by this time I was sick of the whole mess and sent them back didnt even bring them out of the post office. Received an e-mail acouple weeks ago that they had gotten it back but still wouldnt take it off my account. Finally today after holding on line for ever they took it off but charged me 27.00 for shipping and handling. This company is a rip off. I will not make that mistake again. Oh and the first set is still out there some where. They suck. Be ware folks they are shady.

On Nov 14th we placed an order online for several items. All items we wanted to purchase stated that they were available, including one item that was personalized. When we received all the items except the personalized item, this item stated it would be available on Dec 10th, which was fine (this was a christmas present). On Dec 12th, when we heard nothing about our item, I went online and could not find this order listed in our "Orders". After a little research I found the missing item. Only now it says the item would not be available until Jan 10th. I tried calling 4 separate numbers for customer service. Each time I called a number I would go through a series of recorded questions then transfer me to a representative only to here "all lines are busy, try your call later" and then be disconnected. And when I finally got through to a representative, I felt they really didn't care. They'd just tell me it won't be available until Jan 10th. Had no response as how it went from available (when ordered) to available on Dec10th (on written correspondence) to not available until Jan10th. Then went on to say that they were very busy and that they had computer problems the week before. This excussed still did not fit well with me. Also, before I evan got ahold of a representative, I tried to send an email per their web site of the situation and instead of sending my email to country door, this is what poped up on my screen. "country door refused to connect". After all this, when I finally talked to a representative and explained my concerns, all she could respond with was " wait until Jan 10th or Cancel". Remember, this was a christmas present, so I had to cancel. It is now the 13th of Dec, and I am now worried to find something and receive it by Christmas for a man that has everything he wants or needs.

they took out 5 payments instead of one i got charged overdraft fees and they refused to pay them! stay away from this company there thieves and liars!!! ive been on the phone and no body would do anything to get it resolved or taken care of they just blew me off so i got an attorney to sue then so, now instead of 300 dollars they could of paid im asking for 10,000 mental distress, over draft fees , and other things watch your bank account because i may not be the only one they did this too!! BEWARE!!!

This is a company out of Wisconsin that is directly related to the Swiss Colony Online stores. I have had an impossible time with being harassed by their customer service reps. Just trying to pay my bill is a Nightmare. Also, making address changes to my online account has been impossible. I have paid CD on time now for about 3 years or so. The problem is I changed my Credit card and they can't handle a simple change. It is going on 2 full months where they tell me they will charge the new card and they do not. Then after numerous calls to them where they put me on impossibly long holds-multiple people pick up the line and say, "I'm only in customer service, I can't even see your account-I have to transfer you to the Billing dept." They keep pressuring me to "place an order". Then other people laugh and say "tell me what you want to say to the billing dept. And I will call them."-so they refuse to transfer me to the billing dept. At one point a very rude sarcastic woman who sounded exactly like a former neighbor that harassed me for years told me, "she won't even talk to you!"---this company is Rude. They are Unprofessional. They say they will update my payment information and they do not. My next stop will be BBB. A company should allow me to pay my bill on time. Update: Since I posted this TrustPilot Review things have gotten so much better from Country Door. They did finally update my card and payments plus calls to them are going smoothly. I am really Thankful because CD is an important account I always stay current on. Thank You very much Country Door :)

Never again. Cheap stuff from China and ridiculous shipping charges. Awful customer service. Shame on you.
