Amazing community to learn about company acquisitions. Led by people with integrity who deliver on their promises.

Thanks for the kind words! We’re all about keeping it real and delivering value, so it’s great to hear that’s been your experience. Learning about M&A alongside people who actually walk the talk makes all the difference. Excited to see where your acquisition journey takes you next!

The value I have received at Contrarian far exceeds the cost. Some may wonder if, and some may claim that, the course is enough on its own and you don't need to join the community. Which is quite possible. However, I would compare it to any other education in that sense - you can walk away with a wealth of knowledge, but do you actually know how to apply the knowledge in the real world? Not likely. You need experience to apply the knowledge. Having access to the community while completing the course work provides you with knowledge and experience all at once. Contrarian Community is a well designed learning and growth environment that has far exceeded my expectations.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s true—learning the theory is one thing, but applying it in the real world is where the magic happens. That’s where the community really steps in, giving you both the knowledge and the hands-on experience to make it all click. Glad to hear the Contrarian Community has exceeded your expectations, and we’re excited to see what you do next!

My husband and I started the Contrarian course in April of 2024. We completed all of the material by May and were under contract to purchase our new business by July 5, 2024. During this time frame we also sold two of our small businesses. This program gave us the steps and community support to complete these deals quickly and with confidence. We are excited to continue on the business buying journey and to move into the Owner’s Circle when we close next month. Thank you Cody, Lloyd, and all of the Contrarian community!!

Huge congratulations to you and your husband! Going from completing the course to being under contract by July—and selling two businesses along the way—is incredible. It’s awesome to hear the program gave you the tools and support to move quickly and confidently. Can’t wait to see what’s next on your journey!

Loved the information in the emails. Concise and to the point. Also, none of that but wait, buy this and we'll give you the actual information you need. It's nice to read about real people and real success and how their success was made possible. The steps to success are listed. Everyone can use the tips and advice given--even if you are only an employee--you can make use of the ideas and maybe that may turn you into a business owner?

So glad you’re finding value in the emails! We believe in giving the real deal, no fluff, just actionable steps you can take right away. It’s great to hear that the stories and advice resonate with you—those insights might just be the push you need to become a business owner!

This community has upleveled my acumen in a big way. Every week there’s a new connection made, an opportunity to be explored, and at least 2 thought provoking discussions. Everyone is dedicated to honesty, transparency, and helping others achieve their goals.

The honesty and transparency within the group are what keep us all pushing forward together. Excited to see where your journey takes you next!

I have been an involved in a number of different mentorship/training programs. CT is the best by far! Comprehensive materials for learning but also (and more importantly) a great group of people to network with and share ideas with.
Response from Contrarian ThinkingSep 4, 2024
Thank you for the kind words! It’s awesome to hear that CT stands out from other programs you’ve been part of. We’re big believers that learning is important, but the real value comes from the community and those idea-sharing moments. Excited to see how you keep growing and connecting with the group!

The Contrarian Thinking organization is world-class because Codie and her team have mastered how to support people who want to own a business by providing: an amazing community and top-notch educational lessons and tools. The educational lessons and tools are incredibly valuable as she and her team explain how to find, assess and acquire businesses in a way that is understandable. The community is special because the members truly help each other by sharing experiences about the process and giving industry specific knowledge. It is also pretty cool that many in the community become business partners and jointly purchase businesses together. My wife and I are active in Contrarian Thinking together and we feel incredibly welcome to ask our questions and share our feedback. Codie is an amazing businesswoman and educator, and her support team is equally amazing at supporting us in the community.

We’re all about making business ownership feel achievable, and it’s awesome that you’ve experienced firsthand how the community comes together to share knowledge and even partner on deals. We’re excited to see where your journey takes you next!
