I spent hours creating a profile and portfolio to join the platform as a freelance writer. After more than a week my portfolio still had not been approved. I followed up only to be told I'd been reject because I'm from a banned country. 1) They could have told me this to begin with and save me wasting time creating a portfolio. 2) They didn't bother to tell my portfolio had been rejected, I had to follow up with them to discover this.
