My IELTS journey...
First of all I would like to give a very big thanks to Connetics USA and Swoosh English for this opportunity and the whole TEAM to be able to pass IELTS with their help and guidance. I would like to commend Connetics for their generosity to provide completely FREE IELTS review through Swoosh English (I bet only few agencies are doing this). This was very helpful in a sense that we can save money to invest in other review materials especially those nurses like me who have a limited budget, plus you will get a quality of learning in order to nail your IELTS Test. It was not an easy road but you will get the hang of it. There are times that you are not in the mood to study but you really have to push yourself to the limit in order for you to reach your goal. Although good materials and learning source are the core in passing IELTS, persistence, hard work and continuity of practice are still the most valuable key for me in passing. Practice will never betray you that is for sure. To tell you honestly I did not prepare much, I had only like 1 month preparation and around 3 weeks of serious practice. I usually practice everyday, one practice for every subject daily, and apart from that I attended also some GC for speaking to do the mock. Why did I not prepare for long time like others did? Well it is because, I believe, we will never be ready until we have experienced it, assessed ourselves, gauged ourselves on how can we really nail it. I took the exam twice through IDP, 1st attempt I got Speaking=7.0 (pass) and Overall Band Score=6.0 (fail), after 2 weeks took again another test, 2nd attempt I got Speaking=6.5 (fail) and Overall Band Score=6.5 (pass). Even before, I knew combined scoring is possible, I was very happy since I won't have to do it anymore. My score is not that high but it's fine with me as long as I pass, this is only thing that I have wanted. :-) Again, thank you Connetics and Swoosh English in helping me to achieve my 🇺🇸 American Dream. I would like also to give thanks to Jenifer as she was very helpful and attended all my queries. And to the future test takers, you can do it. Don't make it hard on yourself. Always make your learning a fun experience. Continue practicing and nail the IELTS EXAM.
