Hi Louis - I'm so sorry you had a bad experience and had to amend your tax return. Column is a DIY filing product, and although we offer optional expert assistance and review, each tax return is populated by the information that was entered by the user in our tax filing product. If there's anything we can did to assist or mitigate your situation, please feel free to let us know, and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

I filed my taxes through them this year because it was offered through chime and there were pretty good experiences on Reddit. The process was simple everything went thru says approved in IRS site. Nothing after that. I filed 1/21. It is 3/5. I have NEVER gotten my taxes this late. My return isn’t even a big one I don’t file anything special it’s simple. I contacted the irs they don’t even see anything on their end and mentioned that lots of people have been contacting them about filing through chime with column tax. I contacted column and just an automatic message with no resolution or update. 0/10 would not recommend.

Errors on forms ("City" when they mean "County"????) and conflicting answers in their FAQs have made filing this year a nightmare. Never again. I'll just go back to TaxAct
