As a service-based agency/ freelancer I learned quickly that I needed to outsource bookkeeping (marketing is my thing - not finances!), but I was still struggling at tax time and had no idea if I should become and SCorp. Collective help my hand through the hold setup stage and sends me helpful monthly reminders for bookkeeping + helps me stay on top of quarterly taxes and even files for me! 10/10 would (and actively do) recommend!

Using collective is like having an on-demand accountant to help with bookkeeping, taxes, and compliance. The monthly membership fee includes access to Quickbooks, where they will do your bookkeeping for you (unless you like to do it yourself), which is critical for taxes and analyzing the financial health of your business. They also set you up with Gusto, which is a tool for managing your payroll, automatically deducting and paying your taxes, and tons of other features like managing employee benefits like health care or health savings accounts. Collective handles both your business and personal taxes, and helps keep you compliant with friendly reminders about quarterly tax payments and yearly state disclosures. You can also contact Collective anytime with questions and get a response within a few hours. I've been happily using them for a few years.

Signing on to Collective is so far one of the top business decisions I ever made. I have been with them for a year and half now and in that time my books have been completely organized in a way that helps me plan how to grow and spend efficiently. The team is responsive and helpful. I feel like they are extremely invested in helping my business succeed. Maybe there were some growing pains last year, only noticeable because they filed an extension, but let me tell you this is much improved from the local accountant I was working with that left me with a lot of unanswered questions. This was the first year that Collective did my taxes and it was my least stressful with only pleasant surprises. I also want to say I've read reviews saying that they only cater to influencers and that is not my experience at all. Collective is truly trying to build a community and I've attended their virtual social events and learned from different entrepreneurs, many of whom do not have any social presence because it is not integral to their business.

Easy and helpful set up of my LLC, accounting software, payroll and monthly bookeeping! This is the most affordable service and bang for your buck in your are a solo entreprenuer!

I am actually not a member of Collective but my partner is and I have to say that I'm so happy she has them in her corner. She works very hard and the fact that she doesn't have to sweat her taxes is huge. She's always been a bit nervous about that side of business ownership so the fact that a service like this exists is just fantastic. They really take the guesswork out and I know they give us more time together!!

I’d be lost without Collective. They helped me set up my LLC, keep all my books in order & patiently answer all my questions! The interface needs a little work for UX, but they constantly make improvements. And the actual service provided is great! I’m hustling to scale my business and having accounting, taxes & even all the partner apps to streamline payroll off my plate is a huge relief.
