The camp bills itself as a STEM camp
The camp bills itself as a STEM camp, but the counselors seem ... less than enthusiastic about science, math or engineering. Daughter (11) was at camp over the summer (2026) and they were discussing "binary" as part of a "code cracking" segment. The counselor was strictly presenting it as "a sort of code". My daughter offers, correctly, that binary is actually "place-values organized around powers of 2". The counselor "corrected" her and it was pretty clear she had no idea what she was trying to teach. This is just one example - and it's been that way for pretty much every unit my kids have attended (since 2023, I think?). Bottom line is - kids won't learn science, math or engineering here. They'll do some practical experiments and have no idea what/how/why they get the outcomes they get. It's slightly organized daycare. Set your expectations accordingly.
