I tried signing up
I tried signing up. I went through the entire process of providing many types if personal information and face scan just to be told that they wouldn't allow me to use the service when done. I felt like my sensitive info had been hijacked and I was left with nothing. I reached out to them to inquire about why I was denied from using the service and asking for them to provide receipts of how my personal info was handled and who evaluated it to reach that determination and I also asked for them to delete the info about me that they had collected and provide proof of destruction. They responded saying that they could not disclose how my personal info was used to make the decision or any other details relating to its collection or use and that they could not comply with my request to remove or delete my info because of a retention policy so that they couldn't help me further. This to me is an unacceptable outcome. I don't want to keep seeing any more ads about them. They should be more transparent about the factors leading to this outcome. They should be more clear about the risk of being rejected at the end of the onboarding if you don't meet their screening criteria before you hand over sensitive personal information. They should provide a process for auditing the handling and storage of your personal data after submission and a way to retrieve, revoke their authoization for retaining and erase our personal data that they have collected if we request it or at least provide an assurance that they'll do so on their own if you don't get approved to use their service. That would be a more sensible and fair approach.
