"Buy less, choose well, make it last." -Vivienne Westwood We are inspired by the earth and its interconnected inhabitants. We are inspired by well-made tools and intentional living. All of us at ClassicShaving.com feel that the daily ritual of shaving is a time of quiet, thoughtful, almost zen-like privacy and contemplation. We believe that a task we'll perform thousands of times in life, is an opportunity for mindfulness and the chance to witness our impact on the earth. We have customers who have transformed their lives by switching to this classic method of shaving. In a world that moves and changes so quickly, it is a powerful choice to shave slowly and deliberately with a straight razor or safety razor. When using a straight razor all one needs is an artisan blade, an American-made leather strop (for maintaining the blade) a brush and soap, and the skills to use them. After the initial setup, the only waste created during the daily shave is soap bubbles down the drain. When using a safety razor the only waste is the little rectangular blade which can easily be recycled. There are three great reasons to switch to wet shaving; to save your face, your pocketbook and our planet. Make the switch today!
