Occam's razor. Sorry, razor implies that it is able to cut hair.
I read about classicshaving's products on a website which, in hindsight was worded more as a sales pitch than objective advice on male hygiene. Nevertheless, I was inspired to try it, in the hopes that it would provide a better shave than the evil disposable razor industry which aforementioned site railed against- that's not how *real* men shave, right? Well, 100 or so dollars later, I can say that though I tried my best to want to love it, there is nothing to love. Sorry, maybe one thing- I didn't cut myself with the razor. Perhaps that's why it's called a safety razor. But I digress. I used the razor a total of three times. The first day was passable- I wasn't quite sure how to use it (meaning concoct the soap) so I was a bit more forgiving. The result wasn't horrible, anyways. The second and third attempts left a hideous black cloud of stubble, and by this point I knew how to mix the soap so I was...upset. No matter how many times I brushed the disappointingly thin and pathetic soap over my face (with a brush that sheds like a dog) and applied the razor, I could not get a satisfyingly close shave. Oh, and the refuse to accept used items for a refund. Please tell me, then, how I was supposed to know that your products are more or less first-rate rubbish without opening the box and trying them?

We appreciate you taking the time to write an interesting review. There is a bit of a sales pitch to explain the benefits of wet-shaving to the uninitiated. The customer service team is always there to help talk you through lathering, brush care, razor variances, and techniques. If you have any questions or difficulties please call or contact us at [email protected]. It is rare that we have had hair shedding with the super badger brush after the break-in period. The razor does take a bit of practice to get the hang of, sometimes just changing the style of blades can change the way a razor shaves remarkably. Unfortunately it is a health code issue that we, and other shaving product companies, have to deal with regarding returning used personal hygiene items.
