I've had so much fun and gained a lot of experience during my internship this summer. I love college, don't get me wrong. However, I do feel like a lot of the stuff we are learning is theoretical and that it will be hard to use when applying for real jobs or internships. Despite coming from a good school, I have applied to hundred of internships for tech positions without getting much traction. I found it really hard to get my first real experience on my resume. I then decided to work with CareerUp to get coaching and help from their placement professionals. It was worth 10x the investment. I had nothing to do, they took care of everything. 3 weeks later my resume, Linkedin and my personal skills had all been brushed up, and the got me my top 1 internship in the selection I had made. I'm really happy I worked with them. My coach Dan was really nice and helpful.
