I am absolutely furious with the way Corporate America Credit Union handled my recent wire transfer. I tried to send money to a personal friend in Gaza — a completely private individual, not affiliated with any group or organization. The credit union blocked and returned the transfer, giving me only a vague excuse about “internal policies” they “couldn’t disclose.” That’s unacceptable. Gaza is not under blanket sanctions, and I was able to send the same transfer through another institution with no issue at all. This wasn’t about compliance — it was about a lack of transparency, accountability, and basic human decency. I’ve never dealt with a financial institution so dismissive of its customers. If this is how they treat honest people trying to help someone in need, then they don’t deserve your business. Do not bank here — take your money to a bank that values integrity and transparency.

What good is a credit union if they are just as crooked and unsympathetic to you as one of the big banks? I have a car loan with this credit union and first of all, I don't like that I am obligated to have both a savings and checking account and they are not free. The checking costs $6 per month and the savings requires $25 in it at all time, sounds okay but when you are unemployed with no income this is a big deal especially when you are struggling to make the car payment as it is. Well, I have been managing to scrape the funds together for the car payment but have been 2 weeks late for the past 2 months and for the grand privilege of being unable to pay in time I got penalized a "delinquency fee" in addition to a $39 late fee. When every penny means something, this is no small deal. I called them and asked them to waive the fee as a courtesy for being with them for 6 years and they basically told me in not so many words that this is their standard procedure for poor people. Personally, I thought delinquent accounts would at the minimum need to be 30 days late, more like 90. In any event, I will be paying off the remainder of this loan ASAP and I will NEVER do business with these crooks again. I may as well get cheated by a bank I can at least walk into and have a face to face debate with. Very disappointed in this credit union.
