Always wrong balance . They make sure the irs takes whatever they can come up with from your account. Just took 600$ out of my account to pay the irs. Saying I owed them from 2012??????? How??? Now they have been down for days. A couple of accounts can't be paid because of this. This is a TERRIBLE banking system designed to take , take, take! They need to be shipped to a deserted continent.

Rates for CD’s are good but it’s an act of Congress to get assistance with them. One person behind a desk to assist appears to be the norm.

Wrong balances, heavy fees
Their website shows the wrong balance in my account at least once a day, usually before 9am. I was double charged by a vendor which incurred an NSF fee. Once the vendor fixed their mistake, Cadence wouldn't refund the NSF fee. Customer service wants you to call for everything instead of utilizing their secure message system.

BEWARE!
BEWARE!! There is something going on with this bank, particularly the branch Sherman Texas. I noticed discrepancies in acct. balance. An $8,000 unauthorized withdraw, deducted from my account. Luckily I caught this, it went unnoticed for 3wks. Bank said, it was an oversight on there part. The money was deposited back into my account. Now I'm on high alert, I noticed 3 wks before the $8k incident there's another withdraw of $3,000 made at bank. It has another customers name on it with supposedly my sig and account number, deducted from my account. A back office somewhere will look into it i was told. There is also a $1000 withdraw that has came into question. All withdraws made at bank. Bank said this happened because other customer had visited bank prior. Another oversight on banks part. The amount date and acct number bank said was correct only the name was incorrect. I called the Customer whos name appeared in question on withdraw. Customer states his banking routine does not consist of withdrawals, only checks or deposits. There is no reason the bank would have had a prepared withdraw slip with this customers name, 1. He fills out forms entirely 2. His norm bank routines does not consist of withdraws. Banks response was simple, oversight on there part and didn't catch the conflicting information on withdraw And they had also made an error when they prepared ahead of time the slip. It should have been a deposit slip. All the to be said, I was called and notified a cashier's check was waiting for me. My acct had been closed. WHAT!?

The bank is STILL down and our money is…
The bank is STILL down and our money is locked up and Monday is a holiday. They have a flippant attitude as usual and want people to be patient and its outside of their hands.... I am in the process of changing banks and was using this Fridays check to open accounts and now we have no access. No timeline as well. This is a huge concern that they have zero ability with their new "leadership" to control banking.

Cadence deals in not real time with…
Cadence deals in not real time with cash deposits and has horrendous policies.
Their online chat is not helpful. Not "rude" but just sorry cannot help you.... bye. That does not work.
No one keeps cash in banks anymore, we had a check pull in after an emergency at the dr so we were overdrawn. Put cash in same day. Their policy is same day cash in but then they said it has to "process" so three days later we get an OD fee. Bank elsewhere. We made a CFPB complaint.

Cadence Bank in Destin
Cadence Bank in Destin, Florida, operates more like a scam than a legitimate financial institution. I opened a checking account under the agreement that it would be free as long as I maintained a $250 balance. I followed this rule and kept $250 in the account, untouched.
Recently, when I went to close the account, I discovered that the bank had been stealing money from my account without any notification:
They charged an $8 "inactivity fee," which caused my balance to drop below $250.
Then, they began deducting $5 every month, claiming it was due to the lower balance — all without ever notifying me via email, alerts, or any other means.
I only found out about these charges when I went to close the account.
When I confronted the staff, the teller brought this issue to the branch manager, Paul, who outright refused to waive the fees, even though I was never informed about these hidden charges. This is outright theft from their customers and demonstrates a total lack of ethics and professionalism.
