Worst bank i have ever dealt with
Worst bank i have ever dealt with! Between terrible service, bad attitudes. And plain incompetence it is a shame they bought out such a good reliable bank. I never have a good thing to say about this bank.

Without notice I was told they closed by account because a panel of officers decided to do that because my business has recieved too many returned checks from customers so they closed the account without notice. This bank is the worst and NEVER DO BUISNESS with them ever

Just unprofessional to deal with. If there was a website that was "Don't do business here.com" Cadence Bank would be on that list. Too much drama to detail all the issues here. Just go to another bank.

In all my years of banking, the cadence bank takes the cake! This is the worst bank that I have ever seen! Horrible customer service, charging redicculous fees, continuously putting a lock on your account! They cannot compete with the other banks! If I could give them 1/2 star I would...

After twenty years of banking with Cadence, they abruptly terminated my relationship because I sent and received funds through Coinbase, a regulated U.S. exchange registered with the SEC and FinCEN. There was nothing illegal, no fraud, no suspicious activity, just normal financial transactions that any modern institution should understand. Cadence actually told me they “do not engage in crypto activities,” as if simply moving money to or from a licensed exchange somehow violates their moral code. That’s not policy, that’s ignorance. The rest of the financial world, including Congress and major banks, is working toward responsible crypto adoption and regulation. Meanwhile, Cadence acts like the internet just arrived last week. After twenty years of trust, I was treated like a liability for participating in an industry that’s shaping the future of finance. This bank is a complete joke, stuck in the past, punishing customers for being ahead of the curve. If you believe your money should be yours to move freely and responsibly, do yourself a favor and bank somewhere else.

Cadence took over my old bank in a merger. When I tried to register for Cadence’s online banking, I kept getting a “sorry, call customer support to enroll” message. So I called. And called. And made an in person visit (about 15 miles one way) to activate my account. I still couldn’t get in. I finally discovered Cadence didn’t have my date of birth on file. Which I proved to my previous bank when I opened my account, you can’t have a bank account without a date of birth, no bank is allowed to do this. Somehow Cadence had “lost” my date of birth. I finally made another in-person trip to show my ID in an attempt to clean up Cadence bank’s serious oversight. I then waited a couple of days, and still couldn’t access online banking. I finally asked them to close the account and send me a check. They didn’t reply. Several days passed. I got nervous about my check being lost or stolen, so I logged back into the system. There was no record of my request. I got REALLY nervous. I then discovered the messaging system did not record my sent messages, which is completely insane. I called customer service, which couldn’t contact whatever department was responsible for cutting and mailing my check. So I had no idea if they had sent my check, or not, or if it was lost, somewhere in the mail, or what. I finally did get the check, and thankfully cut all ties with Cadence bank forever—after about two months of being unable to withdraw any of my funds. Solely due to their error. The customer service people and branch managers and lower level employees were great. But the people in charge of the bank’s systems aren’t. Do not deal with Cadence bank.

One of many reasons we closed our Cadence Bank business accounts was because they didn't have good customer service, were hard to do things technology wise, and just lacking in ease of banking. Today reaffirmed that. A vendor mistakenly wired a payment a month ago to our old account. I called a branch today and was told I needed to speak to a different department and they could see when or if it was sent back etc. No big deal, totally understand. The number he transferred me to was a non-working extension, no big deal he could have made a mistake. I looked up the business banking info line and called that number and the lady I got said she couldn't help me or transfer me to someone who could. I would have to email customer service because all wires are sent back I said well its been a month, so if it was sent back wouldn't they have it by now? Will this customer service email be able to tell me when the money was sent back or provide proof so I can take it to the vendor and say here it was sent back please reissue payment. She got angry and said like I've already advised you we send all money back and you need to email customer service! I'm like ma'am its been a month, I can't call the people and say someone on the phone told me they send all money back even though she couldn't see it or tell me if they would be able to provide proof. Are you just trying to pass me off to an email so I don't get an answer? She then hung up on me. Individual employees inside a Cadence bank may be nice and your neighbor or friend and you get a different level of service, however their customer service in general is SEVERELY lacking and business banking is a decade behind in technology, ease of banking, app functionality and ability to work from anywhere around the country or when traveling OCONUS. 0/5 stars DO NOT use Cadence Bank!!

Ended up walking away from a mortgage lender with Cadence Bank losing $700 due to horrible communication. Never updated us on anything we always had to reach out to them. Would send them documents per their request and then four days later they would ask for the same ones. When we called to ask how to navigate through their portal, husband and I both were told to just click on things you will find your way. Was always put on the back burner. Would tell us they had to go pick their kids up from school and they call us back and wouldn’t!! Please do your research and read the reviews before you consider.
