They are intentionally deceptive and prey on people who aren’t proactive or suspicious enough to catch charges.

They ignore emails
They ignore emails. They want you to leave a remaining balance in your account so they can take it for free. They will not help you top up your balance (even by $1) to ensure you can withdraw all your money.
