If it were possible to give negative stars, I would give Bookaroom -10. We stayed at a Days Inn who gave us a copy of the receipt. According to Bookaroom, they were not supposed to do that. This receipt shows that Bookaroom charged us $150.00 for their fee alone for booking a room at Days Inn. By any measure, $150 is extreme for this service. Never again will I use a third party to book a room. Call the hotel directly and you'll get a better deal.

Do not trust this vendor
Do not trust this vendor. They practice deceiving their customers/clients. They booked a room for us at the Troy Embassy Suites which was under extensive renovation (both inside and outside) and did not disclose this important fact to us at the time of booking which is inexcusable due to the health and safety implications associated with such an extensive renovation project which is unacceptable.

Horrible
Horrible, horrible company. Super sneaky the way they do business. I'm wondering why Holiday Inn Express hasn't done anything about this company using their customers. I'll never stay at a Holiday Inn Express because of the fact that they don't seem to care about their customers being taken by bookaroom.com. The Manager and the clerk knew all about it, they said it happens all the time and there's nothing they can do. Huh.

Worst experience for hotel booking…
Worst experience for hotel booking ever. Avoid the run-around trap. I booked through kayak’s grtaroom link, thought it would be trustworthy, but it turned out to be a complete scam. My card was charged, but when my family arrive at the beachside hotel during long weekend trip, we were told by the hotel that they never received the reservation information. We ended up driving 1 hour to find a room. Without being refunded.

Run away...Con artists who add fees not affiliated with Hotel
These are con artists, and NOT the hotel that they tell you they represent! My husband decided to help with plans and thought he was calling the Holiday Inn reservation line. The room rates were correct, as we’d looked up the rates online, but at the end 40% was added in taxes and fees! We questioned the agent fervently and she said they were all the normal fees. Her accent was so thick, though, that much of the call was unintelligible. When we hung up, we called the hotel directly and found that we had booked thru Book-a-room, not Holiday Inn, and were charged an additional $30 in fees that didn’t exist!! We called back and cancelled, but had to fight for it! Thieves! We told them that their website GUARANTEES the lowest rate (we looked them up after the reservation was made), but the phone agents didn’t want to address it, and again, their accents were so thick that we could not understand much of what was said. We got our money back, period. What a shame we had to go thru this BS. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!

I thought this booking was through the hotel it was I went to cancel and have been given the run a round i called the day I booked spoke to a lady she contacted the hotel to verify that I did not stay at hotel was told refund of $1,632.22 would be applied back to my credit card I have since called 4 times still no refund. Please make sure to book directly with hotel and not with this company. This has been the most stressful experience to get my refund.

sneaky and greedy - do not book with them
First off these guys are sneaky. I thought I was making a reservation directly with the hotel. I was surprised to find out that I didn’t. Second all other hotels and airlines are waiving cancellation fees in light of the coronavirus, and this company won’t do anything. I’ve called them twice and all they have done is created a ticket with no response. I would never book through this company again. They were in a very poor business with terrible customer service.
