I tried to use this site for several years but eventually gave up. Here is what you need to know - DON'T EVER POST ANYTHING. Within minutes you will be trolled with negative comments. People literally sit at their computers and just wait for a post to criticize. The users trolling will have several thousand comments attributed to their profiles. Not worth the stress. My advice: stay away. Share your fun fishing stories with your buddies and don't bother trying to help anyone on this site.

Behind the rough edges described in another review there is a core community at Bloodydecks (now BDOutdoors.com). The community organizes blood drives, kids events, cancer events, helps with Make A Wish and with each other. The fishing tackle for sale classifieds is one of the best I have found online. There are many deals to be had as the members "hook up" each other with good used rods and reels. Bloodydecks always has the best fishing reports online due to their huge userbase. The new articles section has some very well written articles on fishing and hunting. If you look past the PG-13 parts of the website you'll find lots of great info.

This fishing forum web-site is good because it gets frequent fish reports from local anglers in SoCal. It is bad because anyone can post un-moderated comments, and those comments are often, quite frankly, very ignorant, biased, and derogatory. It's ugly, because the site operators apparently think it is cool, and many subscribers think it is cool, to post pornographic avatars, and adopt crude nicknames, the kind that middle school boys enjoy. I continue to frequent the site for fishing information only. The site can sometimes be useful, but no more useful than many other web-sites that lack the "bad" and the "ugly". I don't bother posting comments there anymore after a bad experience shortly after subscribing. Those of any age with an adolescent mentality might enjoy posting comments on the site.
