Packaging is wasteful, can't customize colors so sometimes you get things that don't look good on your complexion.

There are consistently shipping problems with Birchbox, though the customer service is great and they are always quick to offer a solution, but it is still incredibly frustrating. It is a little frustrating that you can't customize your monthly boxes more-i even have the testing thing and have requested that i don't receive a lot of hair products but I still continue to get 1-3 hair products in my box a month. I also think that some of the samples are not up to par (things like sachet and perfume samples aren't really worth it, maybe include at least six samples in the box if those are included. Also what happened to the full sizes we would occasionally get?) It would be nice to receive samples of stuff that are in our wish lists. Special Birthday gifts would be nice as well. Honestly I am getting a little bored of the service and don't know if I will renew my Yearly subscription - which is a shame because I see all these great brands and products that BB carries and yet I just seem to be getting things I don't want. Apart from free shipping for VIBs that aren't really any other perks that are worthwhile. Maybe VIBs could occasionally pick any sample they want? Sample choices so far haven't been exciting and even for VIBs it can be hard to get a hold of them. I wish you could combine offers as well. I feel like so much money goes into box design and videos and marketing when it could be going towards samples/full sizes/the customers. Like I said, I am just getting a little bored with the service; the novelty has kind worn off and there are constantly problems with monthly boxes and orders that I make. BB needs to spice it up. Also BB France has some AMAZING products, can you please carry some more french brands/do a trade with BB France? Like we can get a box BB France or England Box? That would be great! Spice it up BB!

Loving quite a bit of the samples and product I'm getting but still receiving items very similar to the ones I reviewed with a low score and that don't really work for me. Also while my husband gets his birchbox for men on the first of the month or before ( he received his January Bo's today December 26) I have to wait until mid to the end of the month to receive mine. It would be nice to have more options when creating your profile but overall happy with the service :)

Cool to receive in the mail- fun to wait for! But felt like all I got was the same stuff each time; like dry shampoo over and over. Said I didn't want perfume sample, got it. Bit confusing with preview emails to preselect. Then already out of the sample you anticipated getting. Anyway, it was fun accumulating points to spend but would've been nice if they tracked what you already got.

The product samples are good although some are too small Like hair products.

Had a 3 month subscription. I didn't renew. The samples were OK but it several were not anything I would use. I didn't get to choose my first main product and would not have selected the item I received. Would be good to be able to 'skip' a month when none ofvtge products were interesting to me

I enjoy the exposure to previously unknown brands and trying new products. Several times I've subsequently purchased the sampled item. As you fill out a profile during sign up, I wrongly assumed those preferences would be incorporated into sample selections (received dry skin facial product when I have oily skin). Additionally their program has an opportunity to further develop their algorithms by incorporating sample feedback into future selections.

I haven't been too pleased with the samples I've been receiving. It seems like I get really same type of products monthly despite my survey (for example, curl cream when I put in my survey that my hair is straight). Twice they've forgotten to put in a sample that was supposed to be in my box. I keep hoping for something better each month but I'm not sure how long I can wait.
