I find the shipping of Birchbox to be a very painful experience. The products are fine but I think it’s ridiculous that they promptly take your money on the 1st of the month and you are still waiting for delivery in the middle of the month. It’s a monthly subscription service, it’s not a surprise what people are going to be ordering, the company knows in advance what is going out so there really is no excuse for such delay. I think I’m going to start looking at other beauty boxes as Birchbox are irritating me.

This was the first box subscription I ever had, I think they really started the trend. They have decent products, and I liked that if you enjoyed them you could easily purchase more through the website. Found several great hair products that I still use. Ended my subscription after several months just because I didn't need more samples, but would consider trying it out again in the future.

I’ve seen many reviews saying the shipping is great, but that hasn’t been my experience. Birchbox uses Bestway Parcel Service to ship my boxes to me in Orlando, FL and it’s TERRIBLY slow. My box will sit at Bestway’s warehouse in Atlanta for a full week before they finally give it to USPS and then it takes another day or two to get to me. I get that they can’t be as fast as Amazon but good heavens, that is extremely slow shipping for today’s standards! Other than that, my boxes have been decent. I would like bigger samples, enough for more than a couple uses, but they’ve been good products nonetheless.

I like the monthly birchbox. However, I recently made a purchase where I was supposed to receive a free gift when I spent over 50 bucks and they replied to me that they were out of the free item, yet they did not offer any other alternative free gift . I was very disappointed.they sent me an email saying they would look into it. Basically I gave up a 10 off 50 coupon to get the free METIME may up set, so I'm double out.

New here but there seems to be better " items" in other monthly boxes. I specified No shaving-guess what I got? SHAVING CREAM.. Eye pallet??? tiny.. Paid for a year~~let's see next 2 months because the ONE "SAMPLE SIZE" was trial and everything else enough for 2 uses each.

I've been getting monthly subscription boxes for about a year now and enjoy them a lot. HOWEVER, I decided to bite the bullet and order some expensive full sized products recently. The package was marked that it required a signature and since I wasn't home at 2:30pm on a Monday (I have a job, sue me) it was taken to a drop off location - in a shady part of town at a convenience store with bars on the windows. I contacted Birchbox customer service to ask why they would require a signature and they tried to blame the UPS driver and say that they had decided my front porch/mailbox/storm door wasn't safe enough to leave my package. No, after picking it up I saw it was clearly marked on the label that it required a signature. I responded to the customer service email and got a very curt response back. I'll keep up with my monthly boxes for now, but I doubt I'll ever order full sized products again.

I've had boxes never arrive, items missing from boxes and orders, and even a defective product once and even though I reached out each time something was wrong, I only heard from their customer service once. I'm completely not impressed with this company.
